American shoegaze-meets-black-metal trailblazers DEAFHEAVEN have announced the full lineup of supports for their most extensive Australian & New Zealand headline tour to date, scheduled for May & June 2023.

Joining the tour for all east coast shows will be Australian alternative rock quintet Closure in Moscow. With their recent singles ‘Better Way’ & 'Primal Sinister' the cult Melbourne band have signalled a return to their melodic, hook-laden roots and will release their new album ‘Soft Hell’ in late 2023.

Also in support along the east coast will be Melbourne band RUN, featuring frontman Lochlan Watt (triple j’s The Racket, Nuclear Summer, Colossvs, Thy Art Is Murder). Their new single ‘Iris’ (a cover of the Goo Goo Dolls classic) is an intense collision of black metal, 90s alt rock, post-metal and metalcore – a perfect fit for this bill.

Opening in Melbourne on night one of the tour will be Suldusk, whose gothic-acoustic sound has earned them a worldwide following purely by word of mouth.

Support in Perth at The Rosemount Hotel comes from doom-jazz quartet Tangled Thoughts of Leaving. Known for their fiery and intense live performances, they will be releasing their first new material in 5 years in the coming weeks.

Supporting in Perth at Badlands Bar is Boorloo band GLOAM, whose combination of post-rock, indie & shoegaze has seen them support a diverse range of artists, including Boston Manor & Movements.

Adelaide support comes from hardcore cult favourites RACCOON CITY, featuring material from their 2022 record 'For Nobody, Nowhere.'

Deafheaven are touring in support of their acclaimed new album ‘Infinite Granite.’ The record features some of their finest melodic songwriting to date, whilst exploring less intense sonic territory than their previous records.

Their live show continues to be a juxtaposition of epic proportions and this tour will be no exception, with five diverse studio albums to draw from. The band will also celebrate 10 years of their seminal ‘blackgaze’ record ‘Sunbather’ by performing it in full exclusively at Dark Mofo Festival.
