FIDLAR Announce Australian Tour

Surf rock legends FIDLAR have confirmed their long-awaited return to Australia in March 2023. The SoCal rockers will headline Super Fun Day Festival in Brisbane, plus sideshows in six capital cities “Deyown Ondah”.

Beginning their career as young punks playing house shows, FIDLAR exploded onto Los Angeles’ indie rock scene in the early 2010s with ferocious debut single DIYDUI. Since then, the band has been expanding their presence worldwide, connecting with fans around the globe who resonate with their raucous skate-punk tunes and the band’s mantra of ‘F*ck It Dog, Life’s A Risk”.

FIDLAR’s most recent single Taste The Money, is the third offering from the band’s forthcoming EP set to be released early next year. It follows the trio’s fierce comeback song FSU, which thrust them back on playlists worldwide after a three year hiatus.

If there’s any major take away from recent singles, it’s that FIDLAR are back in full force. The band’s latest work has been self-described as “leaning into the extremes”, and the acclaim garnered for comeback single FSU is a surefire sign of what’s to come.

FIDLAR are no strangers to touring Australia, having made regular appearances at Splendour in the Grass, giving rise to what frontman Zac Carper describes as “some of the craziest experiences [he’s] ever had.” Now, for the first time since 2019, FIDLAR are gearing up for their grand return Down Under next March to give Australian and Kiwi fans the live experience they have been pining for.

InterviewsTour Interview

Interview with Josh Todd (Buckcherry)

It has been a two years for Australian rock fans with no new international tour announcements but that changes now. With borders finally open and restrictions lifted Silverback Touring is saying “f**k it” and giving fans a 1,2,3 count of unashamed rock n roll with two of the hottest live bands on the planet, BUCKCHERRY and FOZZY.

BUCKCHERRY recently dropped their incredible new and possibly best yet, album Hellbound and just this past week a frantic new video and single ‘5,4,3,2,1’. Whilst FOZZY have been tearing up the U.S. Billboard charts with their latest single ‘Sane’ whilst their anthemic track ‘Judas’ continues to amass huge numbers.

Multi-Platinum selling rockers BUCKCHERRY return to Australia armed with a new album Hellbound. BUCKCHERRY staunchly uphold the commandments of rock music with an arsenal of anthems primed to explode on impact live on stage and teeming with riotous energy, sexy swagger, and primal chops intact.  It’s something that the boys have done since day one, but it’s more necessary now than ever. With an array of classic such ‘Lit Up’, ‘Crazy Bit*h’, ‘Sorry’, ‘Say F*ck It’ and ‘All Night Long’, BUCKCHERRY are ready to once again party down under.

BUCKCHERRY is unique, complex, simple, passionate, explosive, original, and always a good time. BC has been my love, my pain, my passion and I’m so proud of what we have accomplished. I never knew when I started this that dedicating myself to music would be taking on so much responsibility. For a guy who never thought he was going to live past 30 this has been an incredible journey. Our ninth record Hellbound marks 22 years since our debut self-titled release and what an amazing roller coaster we have been on. From hit songs to platinum and gold records and millions of fans worldwide – all during a time period when traditional sounding hard rock bands didn’t exist – except for BUCKCHERRY. We beat the odds and built our reputation on the live shows, and our “one of a kind” approach to every opportunity. – Josh Todd

After touring the world with the likes of Metallica, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Avenged Sevenfold, Shinedown and building a loyal fanbase for the better part of twenty years, FOZZY is the epitome of what a great rock n roll band should be: catchy, groovy, hooky, sweaty and most importantly, an AWESOME F**KIN TIME! With five consecutive TOP 30 singles, FOZZY is steadily becoming one of the most successful bands on Modern Rock Radio with one of the most electric live shows.

Sleep Token Announce 2023 Australian Headline Tour

If ever a tour was not to be slept on, it’s the exciting announcement today that the UK underground entity known only as Sleep Token will return down under in 2023, with five Australian headline shows locked and loaded next April and May.

Renowned for their immersive and intimate live performances, the anonymous collective that is Sleep Token, fronted by the masked Vessel, have previously wowed crowds onstage at a huge variety of festivals over the years, as well as shows alongside the likes of Architects, Nothing More, Polyphia and countless others, with 2022 also previously offering Australian fans a chance to catch the group alongside Northlane and Plini for some heart-stopping shows.

Armed with two mesmerising albums, 2019’s Sundowning and 2021’s This Place Will Become Your Tomb, Sleep Token pushed their own fluid boundaries farther than ever with their sophomore release last year, blurring genres alongside oscillating moments of visceral melodics, thunderous drums, hooks and an enigmatic darkness that burrows you deep into the Sleep Token world.

As anyone who has previously attended a live Sleep Token experience can attest to, the irresistible might of Sleep Token grows with each passing year, and a live Sleep Token performances is truly akin to an otherworldly ritual, worshiping cryptic lyricism, a jaw-dropping blend of alt metal, progressive flourishes and post metal, and utterly stunning technicality.

Don’t lose sleep over missing out next year, be sure to catch Sleep Token headlining in Australia in 2023, kicking off in late April at The Triffid in Brisbane, and closing out on Thursday 4 May at Magnet House in Perth.

Yung Gravy dropped Marvelous on 28 October via Republic Records. The album was accompanied by his new music video for single ‘Dancing In The Rain’ and ushers in Gravy’s biggest, boldest and best era yet – and we get to see it live!

Yung Gravy released the record’s lead single Betty (Get Money)’ in June 2022, popping off as a generation bridging banger as it reignites the classic chorus (and iconic synths) of Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’. Produced by Dillon Francis, Dwilly, and Popnick, the track has already gone Gold in the United States and Canada, in addition to generating over 200 million global streams.

Betty (Get Money)’ notably broke out as Yung Gravy’s first Top 10 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs Chart and leapt into the Top 30 of the Hot 100, ticking off another first for the rapper. Dominating airwaves both in the US and Australia, the single led to Yung Gravy making his late-night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and a performance slot at MTV’s VMAs pre-show.

Alongside these massive releases, Yung Gravy has accelerated his meteoric rise this year with a co-headline tour of the states with Dillon Francis, an opening slot on Limp Bizkit’s arena tour and a series of RIAA certified platinum and gold bangers including: platinum ‘Mr. Clean’, platinum ‘1 Thot 2 Thot Red Thot Blue Thot’,  gold ‘oops!!!’ gold ‘Magic’, gold ‘Whip A Tesla’ and ‘Welcome to Chilis’ with bbno$.

Yung Gravy is currently on a 29-city, co-headline tour of North America with bbno$ through December, before reaching Australian shores in February. Tickets are selling fast so jump on the gravy train and get them quick!

FINNEAS Announces Sydney & Melbourne Headline Shows

Academy and GRAMMY® Award-winning artist FINNEAS is pleased to announce he’ll return to Australia in February 2023, to perform two exclusive headline shows at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Wednesday 1 February, and Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Tuesday 7 February. The Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and producer was recently announced on the line-up for Laneway Festival ’23, with headline dates presented by Chugg Entertainment and Frontier Touring.

It’s been a huge 12 months for the prolific FINNEAS, following the October 2021 release of Optimist, his debut studio album, which earned a GRAMMY® nomination for Best New Artist. That nod takes his nominations to a career total of 14, thanks to FINNEAS’ extensive and chart-topping songwriting and production work for sister Billie Eilish.

Having spent much of 2022 conquering the globe with Eilish on the singer’s Happier Than Ever world tour, FINNEAS also performed with his band at Coachella in April, and was honoured by TIME Magazine in their annual ‘TIME100 Next list’ – which recognised 100 rising stars from across various industries and the globe.
