RÜFÜS DU SOL Australian Tour Set To Kick Off This Month

Armed with a Grammy, seven ARIA nominations, and over 500,000 tickets sold across their North America, UK and Europe Surrender tour, there is no doubt the world has been experiencing the rise and rise of RÜFÜS DU SOL this year.  And Australia is up next, with the band’s Surrender tour set to touch down in Aus later this month, kicking off at Brisbane Showgrounds on November 26, before taking in Sydney’s The Domain on December 2 and 3, Adelaide’s Ellis Park on December 10 and Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on December 15 and 16, before finishing up at Perth’s Langley Park on December 17.

Shaping up to be one of the biggest headline tours of the year, the Aussie Surrender tour will see the band take over festival-sized green sites to present their brand new live show and ARIA #1 album, Surrender, offering the only opportunity for fans to witness the phenomenon that is RÜFÜS DU SOL live in Australia in 2022.

“It’s been three years since we’ve played in Australia, so it feels perfect for these to be the last shows of our world tour this year,” says Tyrone Lindqvist. “We’re really excited to be coming home and performing this new show to our Australian fans, friends and family at the biggest outdoor venues we’ve ever headlined.” 

And this tour on home turf will be the perfect way to cap off what has been a truly memorable and mammoth year, having scooped a coveted Grammy for Best Dance Recording, leading the ARIA nominations charge with seven noms for Best Video, Best Pop Release, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Dance/Electronic Release, Producer/Best Produced Album and Best Group, and playing sold out shows at some of the most iconic venues around the world, including The Gorge Amphitheatre (Washington), Hollywood Bowl (LA) and multiple shows at Red Rocks (Colorado) and Forest Hills Stadium (NYC).

HILLTOP HOODS Announce ‘THE SHOW BUSINESS TOUR’ 2022

HILLTOP HOODS have today announced dates for the ‘THE SHOW BUSINESS TOUR’ 2022 which sees the band playing headline shows across Australia this coming August & September.  Proudly presented by triple j, TEG Live & Blue Max Music tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10.00am Wednesday 11 May.  
 
Joining HILLTOP HOODS for the national tour are A.B. ORIGINAL, who will be performing a taste of new music among classic tracks from their iconic debut album ‘Reclaim Australia’. Additional supports will be exciting Kenyan-born Australian singer songwriter ELSY WAMEYO, and world-renowned turntablist DJ TOTAL ECLIPSE.
 
This is the band’s first headline tour since the ‘THE GREAT EXPANSE WORLD TOUR’ in 2019 which saw themplaying sold-out Arenas to over 100,000 fans in 14 different countries.  This was HILLTOP HOODS biggest and most successful headline tour to date, where they also created history with the largest tour of any Australian act in 2019. 

The tour announcement follows the release of Hilltop Hoods brand-new single ‘Show Business’ which features US soul singer Eamon. The song is the Adelaide Trio’s first offering from a new album since 2018.

Wolf Alice announce east coast headline tour | April-May 2022

Fresh from their Best Group win at the 2022 Brit Awards, London four-piece Wolf Alice will return to Australia for the first time in three years this April/May, performing their biggest headline shows to date in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane – presented by Frontier Touring and triple j.

Bringing their latest release Blue Weekend to fans down under, the ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ outfit will perform at Sydney’s Big Top on Tuesday 26 April, Melbourne’s The Forum on Thursday 28 April, and Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Sunday 1 May. The band were also announced today on the line-up for regional festival Groovin the Moo.
