TROPHY EYES ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIAN HEADLINE TOUR 2024

TROPHY EYES
ANNOUNCE
AUSTRALIAN HEADLINE TOUR 2024

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS
BOSTON MANOR & TOWNS

Australia’s finest purveyors of melodic noise Trophy Eyes have had a busy year already. After the success of their ARIA Top 10 release “Suicide and Sunshine” in 2023, the band then headed on a capital city run promoting the album, selling out shows right around the country. This was followed up with a raucous regional Australian victory lap with their mates Dear Seattle, then finally the band managed to take one deep long breath.

I guess they knew what 2024 had in store for them. The band are currently half way through a sold out European tour, their first in the territory since early 2023 and one which is giving the Northern Hemisphere an overdue first taste of the album live. They then fly direct to the US for an extended run of headline shows, with the tour being a proper circumnavigation of the US starting in Brooklyn and ending in Baltimore 5 weeks later.

Trophy Eyes know they can’t let fans overseas have all the fun, so it’s with immense pleasure and more than a little excitement that they announce their only headline tour of Australia for 2024, a lightning run with a storming support bill of international guests and mates Boston Manor (UK), and with Adelaide’s Towns in the opening slot. Full tour details below.

Boston Manor recently released their new single ‘Container‘. It marks the first new music from the band in 2024 as they make their return in impassioned and ambitious mood. Full of thrust and intention, ‘Container’ is rich with depth and groove, offering an early signpost to where their sound is taking them next: from parallel universes to personal growth, vivid dreamscapes to raw grief.

Towns will continue to deliver their good-time vibes, having recently joined fellow Adelaideans Teenage Joans on a sold out co-headline tour, they also hit the road for their own headline shows and supporting Ruby Fields, playing to packed out venues and bringing the high octane energy they are known for.

Trophy Eyes and friends will see you in August.

Artist Fan Club pre-sale begins Tuesday April 16 at 12pm.

My Live Nation members can secure tickets first during the exclusive pre-sale beginning Wednesday April 17 at 12pm.

Australia and New Zealand are directly in the firing line of the hugely successful Starcatcher World Tour! The tour, produced by Live Nation, saw the band hit the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York, The Forum in Los Angeles as well as London’s OVO Arena Wembley. The tour has seen them roll through the U.S., Europe and U.K. before heading back to the U.S. then on to the festival scene in Europe and Japan before landing in Australia.

The Frankenmuth, Michigan natives formed in 2012, consisting of brothers – vocalist Josh Kiszka, guitarist Jake Kiszka and bassist/keyboardist Sam Kiszka – who were then joined by drummer Danny Wagner. The band announced their arrival on the scene in a massive way in 2017 with their EP From The Fires, which won Best Rock Album at the 61st Grammy Awards.

Their meteoric rise continued with the release of their critically acclaimed sophomore album The Battle at Garden’s Gate which was released in 2021 and debuted at #1 Billboard Rock Album, #1 Billboard Hard Rock Album, #1 Billboard Vinyl Album, #2 Billboard Top Album Sales and in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. 2023’s Starcatcher album also crashed into the Billboard Top 200 chart at #8 which has seen GRETA VAN FLEET entrenched as a fully-fledged Rock Powerhouse!

Starcatcher was written and recorded by the band – alongside Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile). Recorded at the legendary RCA Studios in Nashville, the band utilized the large recording room to capture the pure energy of their world-renowned live performances.

Throughout the ten-song collection the band explores the duality of fantasy versus reality and the contrast between light and darkness. “We had this idea that we wanted to tell these stories to build a universe,” says Danny Wagner. “We wanted to introduce characters and motifs and these ideas that would come about here and there throughout our careers through this world.”

The band took multiple concepts from critically acclaimed sophomore album The Battle at Garden’s Gate and brought them into Starcatcher, although Sam Kiszka’s take on the new record’s big ideas hint instead at new beginnings. “When I imagine the world of Starcatcher, I think of the cosmos,” he says. “It makes me ask a lot of questions, like ‘Where did we come from?’ or ‘What are we doing here?’ But it’s also questions like, ‘What is this consciousness that we have, and where did it come from?’”

With Starcatcher the band has definitely managed to capture their live energy in the recording studio.

They have performed across multiple continents, sold over 3.5 million records, one million tickets worldwide and amassed well over 2 billion streams! They have performed on late night television shows such as “Saturday Night Live,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” whilst dazzling live audiences at major festivals such as Lollapalooza, Coachella, Pinkpop and Rock Werchter.

MUNICIPAL WASTE Announce ”Wasted” July 2024 Australian Tour

MUNICIPAL WASTE finally announce their triumphant and probably somewhat inebriated return to Australia shores for the first time since 2013!

Formed in Richmond, Virginia, the homeland of the American Civil War, Thrash Metal Crossover party dudes Municipal Waste rose from the salty remains of a New Years Eve Keg Party in 2000/2001, in which they were later blamed for inciting a minor riot. MUNICIPAL WASTE have uncompromisingly stuck to their guns for over 20 years as the hard-partying and even harder-hitting torchbearers of 21st Century Crossover Thrash Metal. After staggering on to the scene with their 2003 debut album Waste ‘Em All, MUNICIPAL WASTEhave transformed from a cult favourite into metal mainstays for a generation by reviving the Thrash scene.

MUNICIPAL WASTE are 7 albums (and a string of EP’s) deep into a career that shows no slowing down, no matter how hard they party, in fact if anything their career is on an upward trajectory! Metal Hammer christened 2007’s The Art of Partying one of “The 50 Greatest Thrash Metal Albums Ever,” whilst 2017’s Slime and Punishment crashed in the Top 3 of the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart, while they have also sold-out countless shows on multiple continents and piled up tens of millions of streams in the process.

Tony Foresta [vocals], Ryan Waste [guitar], Philip “Landphil” Hall [bass], Dave Witte [drums], and Nick Poulos [guitar] promise to deliver an uncompromising, beer drenched, sweat inducing, high-octane audio-visual extravaganza while their relentless riffage, infectious energy will ensure the pit is whipped into a frenzy!

“We hope you walk away with some bloody ears, blown speakers, pi*sed off parents, black eyes, and a healthy distrust of authority,” says Tony.

Australian fans will be able to shake off the Winter blues and jump head-first into one of the year’s biggest parties as MUNICPAL WASTE heat up Australia in July! Cheers!

GLENN HUGHES Announces 50th Anniversary of the album BURN Australian Tour

Hardline Media are thrilled to present 'Glenn Hughes Performs Classic Deep Purple Live – Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the album BURN’, set for a run of shows in Australia in October 2024.

Glenn Hughes, the former bassist, and singer of Deep Purple, known to millions as the ‘Voice of Rock’, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will perform songs from Deep Purple’s legendary rock album “BURN” along with Deep Purple MKIII and MKIV songs.

'It was 50 years ago, in the summer of 1973, that the BURN album by Deep Purple was written at Clearwell castle in The Forrest of Dean, Gloucestershire,” reminisces Glenn. “It was recorded in October in Montreux, Switzerland.”

Continues Hughes, “We all became one in this centuries old castle in the UK countryside, it felt like Deep were a new band, with David (Coverdale) and I as new members, we couldn’t wait to start working on new songs. The atmosphere was electric, in such amazing surroundings.

“All the songs on Burn were written in the crypt/dungeon, underneath the great hall. We worked on a new song every day, and we were in the flow. Musically we would play, and work out ideas, and David and I would come up with vocal melodies that would later have lyrics. I remember it like it was yesterday.”

“As you could imagine, Ritchie Blackmore was in full prankster mode, Jon had warned me, and he rigged my room one night with a speaker that was hidden, and had ghostly voices delivered to my bedside.”

“The title track was the last song to be written. We came back from the pub, and went down into the crypt, and magic happened.”

Concludes Hughes, “It’s time to celebrate BURN, and I’m really looking forward to seeing you.”

Burn is the eighth studio album by the English rock band Deep Purple, written and recorded in 1973, and released in February 1974. The album was the first to feature then- unknown David Coverdale on vocals and Glenn Hughes, from Trapeze, on bass and vocals.

The album was recorded in Montreux, Switzerland, in November 1973, with the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio. With the addition of David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes, Purple's hard rock sound became more boogie-oriented, incorporating elements of soul and funk, which would become much more prominent on the follow-up album, Stormbringer.

Burn hit #3 on the UK Albums Chart, #9 on the US Billboard 200, and #1 in Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Norway.

In 2004 Burn was remastered and released with bonus tracks. Coronarias Redig was recorded during the Burn recording sessions, used only as a B-side for the Might Just Take Your Life single in 1974. It appears as a bonus track (in remixed form) on the anniversary edition re-release. The 2004 remix version of Burn was later used in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.

In 2005 an unauthorised documentary about the album was produced as part of “The Ultimate Critical Review” series. It featured brand new interview with the original Deep Purple Mk III bassist and vocalist Glenn Hughes.

Lead single Might Just Take Your Life, released 4 March, was Deep Purple's first UK single in two years.

The phenomenal title track started things off at full throttle and challenged the seminal Highway Star for the honour of best opener to any Deep Purple album, while showcasing the always impressive drumming of Ian Paice. The fantastic slow-boiling blues of Mistreated's greatness qualifies it for the highest echelons of hard rock achievement, and therefore ranks as an essential item in the discography of any self-respecting music fan.
