Make Them Suffer Announce Suffer Forever Australian Tour With Special Guests Bury Tomorrow (UK), Spite (USA) + Bloom

After captivating audiences supporting Bring Me The Horizon and Sleep Token in sold out arenas across Australia in April, Perth metalcore outfit MAKE THEM SUFFER are set to wow audiences on home soil once again in 2024 with their highly anticipated Suffer Forever Australian headline tour this coming August and September, joined by friends BURY TOMORROW (UK), SPITE (USA) & BLOOM.

Opening proceedings on Friday 30 August in Brisbane, MAKE THEM SUFFER will bring their ferocious live performance to Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, before closing out in Fremantle on Saturday 7 September.

Following our European festival circuit, an amazing North American tour and of a life changing Australian tour in support of Bring Me The Horizon, we’ve been aching to follow up all these incredible opportunities with a headliner of our own. We can’t wait to bring our live show back home for all fans, new and old, and we can’t wait to take things to the next level. – Sean Harmanis, Make Them Suffer

Roaring back to life after the pandemic years, MAKE THEM SUFFER emerged in 2022 with their behemoth single Doomswitch, followed by a sold out North American run supporting Bad Omens, as well as their own completely sold out headline tour in Australia in support of the track.

Following on with new material in 2023, MAKE THEM SUFFER unleashed the vibrant and voracious track Ghost Of Me, with the group also appearing the same year supporting fellow Aussie juggernauts Parkway Drive in North America as part of the Monsters Of Oz Tour. And while 2024 has certainly not been quiet for MAKE THEM SUFFER, with a recent almost entirely sold out run supporting Bring Me The Horizon nationally along with Sleep Token and Daine, MAKE THEM SUFFER have also continued their ongoing sonic domination via their potent new 2024 release Epitaph; a single that dazzles in sharp, primal energy and gloss that also celebrates and welds the towering past, present and future in the dynamic MAKE THEM SUFFER legacy.

Set to perform overseas for a run of European and UK festivals this June, including Download Festival, Copenhell, Jera On Air and many more, MAKE THEM SUFFER will return home later this year armed with both new music and their insatiable live show that continues to gain international acclaim.

British metalcore giants BURY TOMORROW return after crushing Australian audiences on their first sold out Australian headline tour in 2023 supporting their seventh album, The Seventh Sun. The Seventh Sun stands as testament to the bonds and belief required to shape themselves a new reality, a new sound, and a new future expanding sonic palette platforms sky-high melodies, layered with textured atmosphere, cloaking an underlying savagery.

BURY TOMORROW‘s 2018 album Black Flame catapulted them into metal’s upper echelons. It was the band’s third consecutive UK Top 40 album, which saw them undertake an imposing tour, which culminated with a huge show at London’s iconic Roundhouse and their follow-up Cannibal, took the band another leap forward and that they can face any circumstances that comes their way.

SPITE, the decibel- and soul-crushing deathcore unit based out of Southern California, return to Australia with their lethal blend of death metal, metalcore, and neo-nu-metal after decimating Australian audiences on their debut shows supporting Thy Art Is Murder in 2022. Their 2017 release Nothing Is Beautiful on Rise Records drew comparisons to contemporaries like Thy Art Is Murder, Acacia Strain, and Suicide Silence. SPITE push against the boundaries of heavy music.

Sydney metalcore outfit BLOOM combine ferocity and impassioned lyricism, with their immersive catalogue centered on grief, love and exile. Releasing their brand new album Maybe In Another Life earlier this year, BLOOM flexed surging rhythms and memorable hooks, unforgettably snapshotting the group’s burgeoning strengths that has also led them to a massive regional tour supporting Polaris and national tours supporting the likes of Thornhill, Holding Absence, While She Sleeps, ERRA and Bad Omens.

Joanna Lumley Set To Tour Australia For The Very First Time

Joanna Lumley Set To Tour Australia
For The Very First Time With Her Show
Me & My Travels – An Evening with Joanna Lumley

The legendary Joanna Lumley will embark on her first ever live tour of Australia, Me & My Travels, in October 2024. Joanna will take to the road for the 5-city tour on October 9 at the Concert Hall, QPAC in Brisbane and will then perform at major venues around the country throughout October.

Joanna’s new show Me & My Travels, will take audiences through her hilarious and interesting adventures from her incredible career spanning more than four decades, recounting some never heard before stories. Later in the show, she will be joined on stage by friend and producer Clive Tulloh, who will put to Joanna the questions that you’ve always wanted to ask – submitted by the audience – making the show a unique and hilarious night to remember.

Joanna Lumley Me & My Travels Australian Tour Dates 2024:
Wednesday 9 October – Concert Hall, QPAC, Brisbane
Friday 11 October – Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne
Wednesday 16 October – Festival Theatre, Adelaide
Saturday 19 October – Riverside Theatre, Perth
Tuesday 22 October – Sydney Opera House

A Telstra Plus member pre-sale commences at 10am (local time) on Monday 6th May. Go to telstra.com/tickets for details. Tickets to the general public go on sale at 11am (local time) on Thursday 9th May. Visit tegdainty.com for more.

On announcing Me & My Travels, Joanna said: “The thought of this tour in October, travelling across Australia, has completely taken over my waking hours. It’s utterly thrilling to start planning the stories I can tell, and the rapture (and gratitude, to be fair) with which I shall greet the audiences. Nothing like this has come my way before, and I may have to be dragged off with a hook at the end of each show. Oh people! This is especially for you from me, with masses of love. I think it will be fabulous.”

Excited to be promoting Joanna’s Australian tour alongside Phil McIntyre Live Presents, Paul Dainty AO, President and CEO of TEG Dainty said, “Joanna Lumley stands out as one of the world’s greatest entertainers, audiences are in for an unforgettable and hilarious evening at the theatre.”

Joanna Lumley icon, national treasure, activist, comedy actress and all-round top girl is barely off our TV screens and appears to have been a permanent fixture in our sitting rooms since she burst onto our screens as Purdey in the New Avengers in 1976. Now in a nationwide Australian tour she will take us through the random journey that started in London in the swinging 60’s. Beginning as Jean Muir’s house model and muse, progressing to becoming a full-blown photographic model, featuring in knitting patterns, mini-skirts, toothpaste commercials and the occasional front cover.

From there Joanna will share her stories of her acting career that includes Coronation Street, On the Buses, Dracula and as a brainwashed Bond Girl in Blofeld’s lair in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Joanna’s breakthrough role was as Purdey, a part for which over 800 girls auditioned. Purdey propelled her to instant fame and created one of the “must-have” hairstyles of the 1970s — the Purdey bob. She became a pin-up figure for a generation of British males who grew up watching her as the high-kicking action girl.

Alongside iconic hairstyles Joanna started to develop a nice side line as adventurer and activist; popping up all over the globe she was often seen gasping at the Northern Lights, turning her bra into espadrilles and finding the source of the Nile.

Then as Patsy Stone in Absolutely Fabulous she became a degenerate role-model for a generation. Winning two BAFTAs, Joanna emerged as one of the best comedy actresses of her generation. For 25 years the adventures of Patsy and Edina have sporadically lurched across our screens culminating in AbFab The Movie in 2016.

This intimate night with Joanna tells some of these tales and more as we gallop through almost 50 years in this business we call show.

Clive Tulloh
Clive Tulloh first met Joanna on the set of the Full Wax in 1991 and has barely let her out of his sight since. As Producer of Girl Friday in 1994 he was personally responsible for her appalling living conditions and meagre diet. It was this experience that cemented their friendship. He is sometimes allowed to work with other people and won a BAFTA (three less than Joanna) with Ross Kemp and if you have a very good memory you will remember Ruby Wax shouting at him while they pursued the likes of Pamela Anderson and Imelda Marcos in Ruby Wax Meets.

Polaris Australian Regional Tour 2024 With Special Guests Ocean Grove, Bloom & Inertia

Destroy All Lines & Resist presents

POLARIS
AUSTRALIAN REGIONAL TOUR 2024

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS
OCEAN GROVE
BLOOM & INERTIA

POLARIS are primed to return to Australian stages, today announcing a massive regional tour this June and July alongside special guests OCEAN GROVE and on select dates BLOOM and INERTIA.

Kicking off in Cairns on June 27, POLARIS will electrify stages across Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria, closing out on July 28 in Frankston.

“We’re super excited to be heading back out to Regional parts of Australia this June / July.

It’s been quite a few years since we’ve been to some of these places and we’re visiting some new towns also which is going to be really nice.

I feel very lucky to be able to visit so many different areas of our beautiful country and I love being able to play our music to people that don’t often get tours coming through their towns.” Jamie Hails, Polaris

Fear and its potent ability to divide and unite us beats at the core of POLARIS’s third album Fatalism, with the 2023 full length debuting at #1 on the ARIA Charts, and also garnering nominations for Australian Album of the Year at the 2023 J Awards and for the 2023 Australian Music Prize. Steeped in angst alongside underlying catharsis, Fatalism organically builds on the bleak imagery and hard-hitting soundscapes permeating Polaris’s previous release, 2020’s The Death of Me, while also galvanizing the Sydney five-piece’s trademark blend of melodic metalcore, lush post rock, electronic flourishes and beyond.

POLARIS had already firmly established their place as a fixture in the Australian heavy landscape via their first two albums, 2020’s ARIA Award-nominated The Death Of Me and 2017’s The Mortal Coil, which debuted in the Australian Top 10. Having been awarded a laundry list of accolades along with sold-out headline tours of Australia and previous tours across the globe, including headlining iconic Australian venues such as Fortitude Music Hall, Hordern Pavilion & Margaret Court Arena in September 2023 on their Fatalism album tour.

2024 will also see POLARIS appearing at multiple international festivals and supporting Beartooth for an epic Europe and UK tour starting in October.

Aussie fusion mavericks OCEAN GROVE are no strangers to merging rock, metal, grunge, hip-hop, Brit-pop influences and beyond, pioneering their own signature genre: Oddworld Music. Hailing from Melbourne, OCEAN GROVE released their third full-length album Up In The Air Forever in 2022 to critical acclaim, and have since been on a global assault, bringing their dynamic live show to audiences around the world. Recently appearing at Alpha Wolf’s curated CVLTFEST earlier this year, OCEAN GROVE also supported Don Broco across the UK in late 2023.

Sydney metalcore outfit BLOOM combine ferocity and impassioned lyricism, with their immersive catalogue centered on grief, love and exile. Releasing their brand new album Maybe In Another Life earlier this year, BLOOM flexed surging rhythms and memorable hooks, unforgettably snapshotting the group’s burgeoning strengths that has also led them to national tours supporting the likes of Thornhill, Holding Absence, While She Sleeps, ERRA, Ocean Grove and Bad Omens.

One of Australia’s most exciting alternative acts, Sydney’s INERTIA traverse the darkest corners of metal music, coated in elements of dark pop and soul and sprinklings of emo pop. Since emerging in 2017, INERTIA now sit faced towards their debut album, with their recent single Dominion capturing the group’s nuanced take on immersive existensialism beating at the core of their equally compelling live show, as seen alongside Dayseeker, Holding Absence, Caskets, Thousand Below and more.

With 22 dates locked and loaded across regional Australia this June and July, do not miss this all-Aussie heavy assault!

CRADLE OF FILTH and INFECTED RAIN Announce Australian Invasion September 2024 Tour

A ThePhoenix.au & Metropolis Touring Presentation

CRADLE OF FILTH and INFECTED RAIN Australian Invasion September 2024 Tour

It has been many years since CRADLE OF FILTH last darkened our horizon and we can now hail their return this September to commemorate the release of their “Best Of” Live album, Trouble & Their Double.

Belched from the fiery depths into the rustic charms of the Witch County, Suffolk, UK, CRADLE OF FILTH are undisputed giants of the heavy metal realm. Imperious purveyors of a perennially unique strain of dark, dastardly and wilfully extreme metal, with deep roots in the worlds of gothic horror and occult curiosity. Led by the inimitable Dani Filth, the band has weathered decades of tumult and trial, earning a formidable reputation as both a singular creative force and one of the most riotously entertaining live bands the metal world has ever produced.

Thus far into their distinguished and highly influential career CRADLE OF FILTH continue to show their ferocious efficacy with no signs of slowing down as they maintain their unparalleled fusion of gothic grandeur and blackened metal. Filth’s influence is felt far and wide as Dani recently teamed up for a collaborative song with pop megastar Ed Sheeran, which is set to appear on their upcoming album.

No doubt CRADLE OF FILTH will ignite the flames of anticipation with their impending arrival as they descend on our land for a trip through the darkness as we embrace the chaos and bear witness to their infernal live presence.

And this time they will not be coming alone, rapidly rising Moldovans, INFECTED RAIN. will be chaperoned by the innovators of extreme for their debut tour of Australia.

INFECTED RAIN are led by the enigmatic, charismatic and multi-talented Lena Scissorhands, who has cemented her place as one of the greatest frontwomen in Metal. INFECTED RAIN accent the introspective musical journey as they wind between effectively-placed progressive, electronic and even nu-metal features amid ethereal passages, bolstered by subterranean heaviness and rhythmic grooves topped by Scissorhands’ hair-raising screams and haunting vocals.
