ABOUT AMY SHARK:

After bursting onto the global music scene in 2016, Amy Shark’s six-time platinum single Adore put her on the map as one of Australia’s most formidable songwriters. This was followed by APRA Song of the Year-winning, seven-time platinum and #1 Australian Airplay Chart hit, I Said Hi, and 2019 three-time platinum single Mess Her Up.

Shark’s debut #1 ARIA album and platinum-certified Love Monster was recognised in 2018 with four ARIA Awards (Album of the Year, Best Female Artist, Best Pop Release, Best Producer [Dann Hume]) and was nominated for another five.

Love Monster went on to become the highest-selling album by an Australian artist in 2018. In 2020, Amy released her ARIA Award-winning, two-time platinum-accredited single, Everybody Rise, which is nearing 50 million streams globally and spent 12 weeks in the Top 10 Australian airplay chart.

Amy’s sophomore album, Cry Forever, was her second #1 ARIA debut, holding the top spot for two weeks consecutively. Shark teamed up with blink-182’s Travis Barker on gold-accredited single C’Mon and global superstar Ed Sheeran to co-write the two-time platinum single Love Song’s Ain’t for Us featuring Grammy® award-winning artist Keith Urban.

In 2023, she released now Gold-accredited single ‘Can I Shower At Yours’, graced the cover of Rolling Stone Australia, supported Coldplay for their stadium shows in Perth and make her debut as a judge on Australia Idol – for which she picked up her first Logie, winning the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent.

This win inducted Amy into the illustrious club of Australians who have taken home both an ARIA Award and Logie Award. 2024 saw Amy return to her judging role for a hugely successful second season of Australian Idol and release her 3rd #1 ARIA Album Sunday Sadness, as well as embarking on her AU & NZ tour, The Sadness Tour.

The Used Announce 25 Year Celebration With 3 Albums In 3 Nights Across Australia

FULL ALBUM PLAYTHROUGHS:
SELF-TITLED, IN LOVE AND DEATH & LIES FOR THE LIARS

Rock icons THE USED have announced their Australian 25th Anniversary Tour offering an unforgettable experience for fans, with three nights in each city across Australia featuring a full album playthrough of the music they created that shaped the sound of early 2000s alternative rock. The celebration will highlight their first three albums performed in full: their self-titled record The Used (2002), In Love And Death (2004) andLies For The Liars (2007).

As the band reaches a quarter-century milestone, these records are largely regarded as highly influential, and it is no wonder each of them has been certified either platinum or gold by the RIAA in the US, and sold over 10 million albums worldwide.

The band is eternally grateful for the love and support of their fans throughout the years. Lead singer Bert McCracken, aka robbietheused, is “Overwhelmed! These first three records are what put The Used on the map. I can’t wait to experience the joy in playing all three records from front to back. I know it will be an amazing time. I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Sending love to you all and I hope to see you there!”. Bassist Jepha adds, “We feel extremely lucky and humbled to have been a part of something way bigger than ourselves for the past 25 years. To everyone that has been there from the beginning or is just starting out your adventure with us thank you. Here’s to the next 25!”. Drummer Dan Whitesides shares: “We can’t wait to play all of these songs from the first three albums, they mean so much to us as we know they do to so many people.”

The Australian tour will be kicking off on Wednesday 13 August in Brisbane, before heading to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and closing out in Perth on Wednesday 3 September. Each city will be treated to three back-to-back evenings focusing on THE USED‘s formative first three albums, as well as some extra hits, with night one featuring 2022’s self-titled album, The Used, night two featuring 2004’s In Love And Death, and night three featuring 2007’s Lies For The Liars, all played from start to finish at their respective shows in all five cities.

Regarded as one of the most important albums in the post-hardcore scene, THE USED‘s self-titled 2002 album went on to influence a generation of artists, peaked at #63 on the Billboard 200 charts, and debuted at #34 on the ARIA Australian Albums charts. Certified platinum in the US and gold in Australia, The Used has been continually praised since release for its balanced mix of angst and beauty, towering craftsmanship and instrumentation, and a flawless outing from frontman Bert McCracken. An unfaltering landmark outing for THE USED, resoundingly celebrated for its infectious melodics, powerful beauty and emotion, and eclectic merging of punk, acoustic, metal, rock and beyond, The Used spawned iconic singles The Taste of Ink and Buried Myself Alive, while also kickstarting THE USED‘s prolific legacy.

Off the back of an extensive touring schedule following the release of their debut full-length, THE USED returned to the studio with producer John Feldmann to conjure their sophomore studio album, 2004’s In Love And Death. Balancing crunchy riffs with creative dexterity, In Love And Death explanded on the polished yet primal tendenciesintroduced via The Used, and sent THE USED‘s popularity into an entirely new stratosphere; one lined with heart-wrenching anthems, stirring melodics and plenty of spine-tingling heaviness. Across the board, soaring choruses meld with vulnerable lyrics and virtuosic guitar solos, with In Love And Death debuting at #6 on the Billboard 200, and once again reaching platinum and gold certification in the US and Australia respectively, while also igniting significant mainstream global appeal.

Released in 2007, THE USED‘s third studio album, Lies For The Liars, went on to land at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart, debuted at #5 on the ARIA Albums charts, and also become the group’s fastest-selling album in the UK. A high octane collection of cinematic spectacles and captivating arrangements, Lies For The Liars dives head first into guitar-driven rock, balancing levity with sharp production, horror punk and experimental pop injections. With its single Pretty Handsome Awkward tapped to appear on Michael Bay’s 2007 Transformers soundtrack, which itself debuted at #21 on the Billboard 200 charts, Lies For The Liars burgeoned THE USED‘s cultural impact, while also firmly reminding the world why THE USED were and still remain one of the most influential and important bands to emerge in the 2000s.

Next August and September, join THE USED celebrating 25 years of monumental rock down under, with three back-to-back shows per city offering fans the chance to revisit the three albums that started it all!

City and Colour announces Australian tour with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats for January 2025

In a huge coup, acclaimed Canadian singer, songwriter and performer City and Colour announces he will tour Australia in January 2025, alongside dynamic US eight-piece Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.

Playing shows from coast to coast, City and Colour will kick off an all ages* tour at Brisbane’s iconic Riverstage on Tuesday 14 January, before heading through Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Local legend Alex Lahey will support on the East Coast and Adelaide dates, while Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys will warm audiences in Perth.

Frontier Members can access presale tickets from 10am local time on Tuesday 24 September, before the general public onsale opens at 11am local time on Wednesday 25 September. Head to frontiertouring.com/ccnr for more information.

Having toured Canada together earlier this year to incredible acclaim, City and Colour and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats are ready to deliver their extraordinary live show to audiences down under.

On his last nationwide tour of Australia in 2023, City and Colour played intimate venues that sold out immediately, along with a string of appearances at SummerSalt Festival, stunning audiences with his trademark vocals, raw honesty and dialogue, talents that have endeared him to music lovers around the world since City and Colour’s inception in 2005. 2025 will mark Green’s nineteenth tour of Australia, having previously visited ten times as City and Colour, and another eight times with the band Alexisonfire.

City and Colour released his critically praised seventh studio album The Love Still Held Me Near last year.

Over the course of seven studio albums, City and Colour has compiled a canon ripe with songs born of adoration and devotion, amassing a legion of dedicated fans worldwide and garnering him three JUNOs, including two Songwriter of the Year awards, plus multiple triple, double, platinum and gold certifications in his native Canada.

One of the most recognisable forces in contemporary rock ‘n roll, eight-piece Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats are an undeniable live act, most recently in Australia in 2023.

Since 2015, Rateliff has led his denim-clad, horn-flanked Night Sweats to stages across the globe, leaving awed audiences in their wake. Their combustible mix of soul and rock quickly cemented them as a rare generational band who balances ecstatic live shows with engrossing and rich records.

South Of Here, the fourth Night Sweats album reckons with a lifetime of pain and trauma and transforms it into a stirring and soul-baring rumination on love, loss, hope and resolve. Following And It’s Still Alright, Rateliff’s beloved 2020 solo LP, and The Future, The Night Sweat’s acclaimed 2021 release, the new album blends both sides of his immense talent: emotionally potent, vivid storytelling and the rugged, R&B revivalism that has powered the band to world-wide acclaim over the past decade.

Unrivalled talents, don’t miss City and Colour with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats when they tour Australia together for the very first time in January.

SARAH BLASKO ANNOUNCES NATIONAL ALBUM TOUR AND UNVEILS I JUST NEED TO CONQUER THIS MOUNTAIN ALBUM TRACK LIST

NEW SINGLE + VIDEO ‘BOTHERING ME’ OUT TODAY

Stream ‘Bothering Me’ | Watch the video
Pre-order I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain

Revered 3x Platinum and 3x ARIA Award-winning singer, songwriter, musician and producer SARAH BLASKO today unveils the tracklist for her first full-length studio album in six years I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain (out Nov 1), announces her national album tour this November/December and shares the new single + video ‘Bothering Me’. Tracing the inevitability of painful goodbyes in many forms, and the grief – and acceptance – that follows, I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain sees Sarah Blasko firmly in the present as she searches for the light that comes with new beginnings. ‘Bothering Me’ is out everywhere now – stream/watch HERE – and pre-order I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain HERE.

Tickets to Sarah Blasko’s album tour, on which she’ll perform songs from I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain and her extensive back catalogue across Qld, NSW, SA and WA – in addition to the already announced VIC shows – backed by her live band are on sale 9am local this Thursday 29 August.

On the howling new single ‘Bothering Me’, Sarah Blasko confronts dreams – both the kind we have when we’re asleep and the ones we hold for our future – as she is revisited by her past at night and how her life is not aligned with what her younger self once foresaw. These small but powerful reckonings cut a lot deeper than the track’s title suggests. “Dreams seem to be a way of processing things that happen during the day and so I embraced dreaming as a way of getting over things,” Blasko explains, “Getting older is TOUGH. Sometimes I don’t know who I am anymore and that I’ve lost touch with the person I used to be and the dreams I held. I try to let go but not let go at the same time because dreams are important.”

The ‘Bothering Me’ video captures Sarah Blasko in technicolour as she makes moves through kaleidoscopic scenes; it was created by SPOD, who also edited and provided visual effects, with filming by Wilk and lighting design by Bazz Barrett. On the video, Sarah Blasko shares, “All the video material for the record was created when three people – a lighting person (Bazz Barrett), a videographer (Wilk) and a singer with an album (me) – spent three days in a very nice rehearsal room, not really knowing what we’d come out with or what it would all mean. We played around and laughed a lot, and in the end were proud of the spirit of what we captured.” Spod adds, “Getting this project from Sarah was intriguing as usually I’d be involved from the beginning with a defined idea of what I’m aiming to do, but this is a much more improvised, free form experimental project where I was delivered footage and given free reign. I didn’t want to take it too far but wanted to heighten the momentum and emotion of the song, so I pushed the footage into the abstract noise and colour of analog effects.”

Together with the album’s first single ‘The Way’, ‘Bothering Me’ sets the scene for I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain as an album of late night reflections on goodbyes, grief, new beginnings and an important friendship that underpinned her childhood. It was recorded at Rancom Street Studios in Eora/Sydney with engineer Brent Clark, produced by Sarah Blasko and mixed by Kenny Gilmore (Weyes Blood, Julia Holter, Ariel Pink), and marked a new approach to writing and recording from that of her earlier records: “This album was probably the most relaxed and free feeling record I’ve made,” Sarah Blasko shares.

Sarah Blasko is as expansive as she is prolific, writing songs that strike with rare immediacy, clarity and purpose. Across a discography of six solo albums – Depth of Field (2018), Eternal Return (2015), I Awake (2012), As Day Follows Night (2009), What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have (2006) and The Overture & the Underscore (2004) – and two albums with Holly Throsby and Sally Seltmann as Seeker Lover KeeperSeeker, Lover, Keeper (2011) and Wild Seeds (2019) – four albums have reached Platinum Sales Status with six debuts in the ARIA Top 10. Sarah Blasko is a three-time ARIA Award winner, 18x ARIA Award nominee, has won the J Award for Australian Album of the Year, and three-times shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize. Her cover of Cold Chisel’s ‘Flame Trees’ (2004) had a resurgence when it was featured in Season 2 of Netflix’s Heartbreak High, spawning a remix by Cub Sport released this June. Sarah Blasko composed the music for Bell Shakespeare’s productions of Twelfth Night (2023) and Hamlet (2008), Sydney Dance Company’s Emergence (2013), has been praised by the likes of Sir Elton John on his visit to James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke and recently wrapped a national tour with Boy & Bear, where she debuted songs from I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain live for the first time.

ALESTORM with guests Nekrogoblikon – Australian & New Zealand Tour February 25 – March 8, 2025

Wowsers! Behold human pirates of the southern lands, ALESTORM have set their compass this way for their next expedition to the other side of the world to regale us all with their super infectious blend of modern folk and power metal. With their well renowned A game PARTY prepped and packed, they’ll be stuffing the galley full of inflatable ducks, kilts, a hurdy gurdy player, maybe even a shark, but most importantly, drums upon drums of beer and rum! Bring your mateys, bring your best drinking hat, bring your lungs and let’s fire up the biggest shindigs of 2025!!

Heeding the call for their first odyssey to Australia and handed the highly important task of hyping up the party hungry are NEKROGOBLIKON. The self-proclaimed “Kings of Goblin Metal”, who deliver a unique blend of melodic rock and gnarly death metal, infused with EDM-style flourishes. Fronted by their ostentatious singing goblin hypeman John Goblikon and new screaming vocalist Dickie Allen (Infant Annihilator) the band takes cues from GWAR, Finntroll, and Dethklok, while maintaining a humorous, self-referential style.
