Fresh from a huge national tour with Live and Incubus, The Superjesus return with their first new music for 2024, “We Won’t Let Go Until It’s Over”. An anthemic rock track delivered in the kick ass style that has won The Superjesus a legion of fans over the last 3 decades, penned by Sarah McLeod and Stuart Rudd; produced, mixed and mastered by Murray Sheridan.
“This song is one of my favourites from the record, I wrote it ages ago and submitted it to the band when we were doing the Love And Violence EP back in 2016, for whatever reason it didn’t make the cut. Never one to give up, I tried again in 2023. With our new line up and producer/drummer Murray Sheridan on the dials it finally came to life. I think the lyric line is quite fitting for this!”

After twenty years of inspiring audiences around the world, metalcore veterans The Ghost Inside share their highly anticipated sixth album Searching For Solace out now via Epitaph Records.
Four years since their self-titled album was named one of Loudwire’s Best Rock and Metal Albums of 2020, Searching For Solace arrives at an optimal time in the lives of The Ghost Inside. Nine years removed from the horrific bus crash that forever changed their trajectory, vocalist Jonathan Vigil, guitarists Zach Johnson and Chris Davis, bassist Jim Riley, and drummer Andrew Tkaczyk have learned an esoteric truth about tranquility. As the axiom says, “it’s the journey, not the destination” – a theme explored throughout the band’s dynamic sixth album.
“People always ask me how I remain positive,” Vigil muses. “I’m realizing now that there’s never really a time where you reach that point of ‘happiness.’ It’s a constant journey. I know that life is hills and valleys. You must be willing to embrace new things, stand up for yourself, and adapt. Because the goalposts just move further away. The search for solace never ends.”
Since their 2004 formation in El Segundo, California, The Ghost Inside merges metalcore’s proficiency with punk’s urgency. Searching For Solace features production from Dan Braunstein (Spiritbox, Dayseeker) who took the reins on most of the record, with other tracks handled by Cody Quistad (Wage War), Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Bloodywood). Building a bridge between more aggressive sounds and thoughtful messaging, the album boasts the most fundamental elements of The Ghost Inside: honesty, vulnerability, the message, and the melody. Unafraid to embrace darker themes and expanded sonic landscapes, Searching for Solace is a quintessential entry to their catalog.
“There’s more singing and song structure than on the previous album, but there are also some of the heaviest songs we’ve done,” notes Jim Riley (bass). “We really know who we are, and we also feel comfortable stepping into the future. This is a new chapter, but it’s not disconnected from what the band sounded like before. It’s more of an extension of it. We’re excited by it.”
The metalcore giants will be in Australia this September supporting the legendary Parkway Drive on their 20th anniversary tour. Full tour details below. Destroy All Lines Presents

Raw, ferocious and oozing with caustic dexterity, come and witness the high octane new single Empty from metalcore mavericks Void Of Vision, officially out today via UNFD.
Following the quartet’s transmutation via the razor-sharp 2023 single Angel Of Darkness, Empty is a sweltering blend of pummeling beats and oscillating melodics, complete with jagged riffs, voracious vocals and a fiery breakdown that all combine to unite the recent journey behind the scenes in particular for frontman Jack Bergin.
“Empty was written halfway through our Australian tour in October last year,” shares Bergin. “We’d just completed our first run of shows back since I had surgery following a brain AVM rupture in April, which left me facing mixed emotions I didn’t expect. On one hand, we were playing our largest ever headline shows to date and selling them all out, and on the other I was facing the fear of getting up on stage every night risking another potential rupture every set I played.”
“Performing under the ‘Angel Of Darkness’ persona for the single campaign, I’d get up on stage and play it down from the usual high energy show we’re known for, leaving every second of gratitude or appreciation to be communicated by a backing track in between songs to communicate with the audience,”Bergin continues. “A protective measure sure, yet I felt vapid and far from the engaging stage persona that had led us to playing these bigger stages in the first place. We were at the peak of our career and I felt nothing but imposter syndrome up where I usually feel most at home.”
“Everything quickly snowballed into more bottled up emotions surfacing, all of a sudden finding myself coming to terms with unprecedented body dysmorphia after my hospital stay. I had never even processed losing all my hair from alopecia until I had to return to societal norms after hiding away for months straight off the back of touring. I’d just been diving into a world of fashion and makeup trying to cover everything up just to hide my face and body in a world where I couldn’t avoid comments and remarks, no matter how I presented myself.”
“Following the Sydney date of tour we found ourselves in the studio on an off day, laying down the foundations of what would by the end of the day, become Empty,”Bergin concludes. “I took the first words off the top of my dome, and screamed that chorus at the top of my lungs, leaving the take from that very demo the exact same as the intro in the final track you hear today. It feels suiting to return now with a song all about perception, not only by the public but also one self.. and it feels like true growth now feeling entirely realized and ready for whatever is to come.”

Melbourne’s Void Of Vision have solidified their standing as one of the most innovative and sonically explosive acts in the modern heavy scene for over a decade. Performing at Australia’s first-ever Knotfest edition, alongside Slipknot, Parkway Drive, Megadeth and more, to collaborating with metal-meets-electronic DJ and producer PhaseOne, Void Of Vision also recently unveiled the amalgamated CHRONICLESseries as a complete album, bringing together the previously standalone EPs LUST, HEAVEN and UNDERWORLD into a gripping snapshot of Void Of Vision‘s relentlessly inventive past, present and future.
From their debut EP, 2014’s Broken // Bones through to 2016’s Children of Chrome, 2017’s Disturbia, 2019’s Hyperdaze and the release of CHRONICLES, a new future was heralded in 2023 by the standalone single Angel Of Darkness; an alt metal rager weighted equally by searing heaviness and pulsing pop, helmed by the titular Angel Of Darkness as the band’s representative during the single’s campaign.
Supporting Invent Animate last year as well as touring the UK and Europe supporting Stray From The Path, Void Of Vision closed out 2023 with their biggest Australian headline shows to date. And kickstarting 2024 with an appearance at Homegrown Festival in Melbourne and with a special headline show in Narre Warren, Void Of Vision are firmly poised for an explosive year ahead, touring North America supporting ERRA as of next week, before joining Aussie juggernauts Parkway Drive on their gargantuan 20 Year Anniversary Tour in Australia this September along with I Prevail and The Ghost Inside.

CICADASTONE Release New Single, Last In Line New Album, Future Echoes, Out May 31
Melbourne hard hitters, Cicadastone are back with another slab of Seattle infused rock in the shape of Last In Line.
With it’s huge vocal harmonies, driving riffs and emotive guitar fills, Last In Line harks back to a time when songs like this were all over the radio.
Last in line is a song about forms of addiction. “To be last in line of what? The choices we make now dictate the futures we have to come. The song touches on the concept of thinking you’re in control when you’re actually not at all. An outside perspective is important when you don’t have it. Don’t need a reason to deny, only a reason to be last in line.” – Mat Robins, vocals and guitar.
Born from the ashes of the grunge rock greats, Cicadastone naturally move within the 90’s rock confines yet still manage to bring a modern fresh edge, developing their own unique sound while staying truly authentic to the genre, a difficult task in a time when it’s all been done before. With two albums under their belt, 2016’s debut, Chance Collide and 2020’s Cold Chamber, the band have been making solid in roads within the ultra competitive rock scene.
2024 sees the band take a huge leap forward creatively and make their biggest statement yet with third album, Future Echoes.
Last In Line is another gritty, grinding song by Cicadastone. It follows first single, In The Crossfire and is a great indication of what to expect of the new album Future Echoes, due for release on May 31 via XMusic.
MONO Veteran Shoegaze Act To Release New Album, Oath, on June 14 Release Soaring, First Single, Oath.
Coinciding with their 25th anniversary, Japanese instrumental rock band MONO will release their 12th album ‘OATH’ on June 14, 2024 via Pelagic Records.
More than an eponymous track, ‘Oath’ serves as the album’s theme. Anyone who is a fan of MONO’s unique songwriting and sound construction is bound to have stars in their eyes with this one. The classical instruments greet the listener with comfort and lightness, while the quartet quietly take their time to join in… until they reach a pinnacle of post-rock splendour, spiced up with a hint of shoegaze as only the band can do!
Guitarist and composer of the band, Takaakira ‘Taka’ Goto, states –
“The album ‘OATH’ is about “time and life”. We wanted to express the “limited time in life” and the “meaning of life”. Our time goes by day by day. What is my goal? What is my purpose? What is the reason I live every day? What can we do? What should we do? We wanted to learn what we were feeling about time and life, what we have lost and found, and the questions and the answers we discovered during both our good and difficult times. We live with a vow that hasn’t changed since we were children.“

The music video for ‘Oath’ was produced in collaboration with one of the band’s endorsers, EarthQuaker Devices, and was filmed during the recording session of the new album, recorded and mixed by one of their longtime collaborators, Steve Albini, at Electrical Audio.

German quartet Letters Sent Home have shared their highly-anticipated debut album Forever Undone via SharpTone Records. The new album – which features previously released tracks Request Denied, Elements, i hope i die first., Ignorance (feat. Dead Lakes), and Final Battle – features six new tracks that are ambitious, meaningful, and full of life.
“Forever Undone tells different stories of my life that I’ve never told before, including themes like religious trauma, grooming and the relationship with my mother. It also portrays the hopelessness and helplessness of the younger people,” shares vocalist Emily Paschke.
“This album is deeply personal. Talking about mental health is very important but we have talked about it so much already, we wanted to give other topics a stage now. With this album, we wanted to be as transparent as possible,” continues Paschke. “People always liked the relatability and personality in our songs. We think we have pushed this to an extreme with this album. Musically we knew we needed to add more energy and attitude than before. We think this album perfectly portrays us with all our musical influences and personalities.”
Alongside the album release, Letters Sent Home have shared a new music video for Hysteria. On the track, Pasche shares, “Hysteria shows the struggle to never be good enough in the age and eyes of social media and how even the slightest misstep can make you into a villain. It’s about the impact social media has on our perception of people.”
Across three well-received EPs of “sad, hard music”, German quartet Letters Sent Home have made their name as a band who match infectious melody and huge choruses, with the lyrical depth and heart of people with a lot to say.
Formed while at school in Germany’s northern countryside in 2015, and becoming a serious project a couple of years later following singer Emily Paschke and bassist Lara Ripke’s time studying in North America, Letters Sent Home’s music – an energized mix of pop-punk, alt rock, and emo – has served as a vessel for Emily’s inner turbulence.
“The whole purpose of our music is that I’m talking about my personal trauma, and how you never actually fully heal from stuff that happens to you, but learn to live with it,” says Emily. “You may bear scars, but those scars are never going to fade fully. There’s always something you can work on. I feel like you never you’re never fully, completely satisfied or happy.”
All of this is set to music that’s as electrified and youthful as Emily’s lyrics are deep. Having primed themselves with their previous work and spending two years perfecting their craft with long-time producer and friend Julian ‘Polar’ Huisel, Letters Sent Home – completed by guitarist Robin Werner and drummer Louis Schramm – is embracing this opportunity and shooting their shot.

“It may only be a five track EP however being able to create five tracks of pure pop metal bliss is impressive. Each song has a brutal riff, angelic vocals, big enough hooks to catch a whale and content to provoke thoughts…this EP is wonderfully exhilarating, like a roller coaster at a fairground that you keep going back on.”
HiFi Way
“That was so unexpected – I loved that! It’s so eclectic and it’s so niche, it took all these parts from other genres and sounds, but it works so well together.”
The Break Down With Nath & Johnny
Alternative rock outfit unpeople have released their hotly-tipped debut, self titled EP via SharpTone Records. Alongside the new EP, the band are showcasing their new single going numb.
Commenting on the new single, the band say: “This song is relatively self explanatory if you read the lyrics. Try your hardest not to bottle up negative emotions. Let them out. However you see fit. Even if you’re scared of how they might manifest themselves, it is almost always better to let it out. Talk to someone. Talk to yourself, even. Just saying things out loud can be half the battle sometimes but I always find it immediately halves the stress by just simply verbalising the issue and facing up to it.
“It sure beats going numb.”
unpeople have a number of live shows confirmed for the remainder of 2024, including in the UK for Mayday Mayhem, The Great Escape Festival, Bloodstock, Radar Festival and Dot To Dot Festival, supporting Metallica in June at Racino Rocks, and supporting Better Lovers in the UK in July.

RUN RELEASE BRAND NEW SINGLE SUMMER FEAT. JOHN FLOREANI
SUPPORTING SVALBARD NATIONALLY THIS MAY
The cooler months may be imminent, but things are only heating up for Melbourne band RUN, returning today with a brand new single Summer featuring Trophy Eyes frontman John Floreani. An emphatic addition to the ever-growing RUN sonic universe, Summer layers cascading drumwork, emotive melodics and searing vocals, with frontman Lochlan Watt trading vehement moments with Floreani. Also accompanied today by a music video directed by Patrick Kearney, Summer is yet another heart-rending gut punch from the Melbourne five-piece.
It was an honour to have my mate John Floreani clean up the chorus on this song, Most of us have become huge fans of Trophy Eyes in recent years, so once we were actually able to pin him down for recording, the collaborative vibes were unreal.
Lochlan Watt
While RUN’s previous studio collaboration, the 2023 single Everyone’s Cancelled, Everything’s Cancer, introduced a full lineup while spitting out the resentment from prior years to create a fresh slate, the track also saw the band go on to tour around the country with Deafheaven, Hexis, and Earth Caller.
Now completed by fellow veteran musicians guitarists Lewis Noke-Edwards and Arron Parker Richards, drummer Adrian Horsman and bassist/vocalist Benn Gaylor, RUN continues to unveil a new bundle of self-produced, bittersweet crushers that shine bright thanks to the glorious mix of Forrester Savell (Karnivool).
“We have a six track EP coming very soon,” Watt concludes. “It features an intro/title track, four seasonal anthems, and a grand finale. I think it blows the band’s previous material out of the water.”
RUN will return to the stage this May supporting the eclectic and emotionally charged British post-hardcore/metal band Svalbard on their debut Australian tour, with performances lined up in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
