Joining AC/DC as special guests on the tour is Australian rock band Amyl and the Sniffers.

The tour shares its name with AC/DC’s 2020 album, POWER UP, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Chart in Australia and 20 other countries around the globe. POWER UP notably notched the band’s third #1 debut on the Billboard 200 and exploded as one of the best-selling albums of 2020 worldwide. It closed out the year on Rolling Stone’s “Top 50 Albums of 2020” and Consequence of Sound’s “Top 50 Albums of 2020. Plus, it garnered GRAMMY® Award nominations in the categories of “Best Rock Album”, “Best Rock Performance”, and “Best Music Video” for “Shot In The Dark.POWER UP is available HERE.

In 2024, the POWER UP Tour kicked off in Europe with a staggering 1.7 million tickets sold in the first days of sales, eventually surpassing 2 million tickets sold across 24 shows. The band just concluded 10 sold-out shows in North America and has 15 additional shows scheduled across Europe before returning to Australia.

AC/DC played their very first show on the 31st December 1973 at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney, Australia. They are one of the most influential rock bands in history, with over 200 million albums sold worldwide. The band’s Back In Black LP is the “bestselling album by any band ever” and the “third bestselling album by any artist” with global sales of 50 million and counting. AC/DC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® in 2003. The band continue selling out stadiums on multiple continents, sell millions of albums annually and generate streams in the billions.

Grinspoon announce their 30th Birthday Bonanza! Tour

It’s been 30 years since a young Lismore band broke onto the Australian music scene winning the very first triple j Unearthed competition. That young band have gone on to release 8 studio albums, numerous singles, received 13 ARIA Award Nominations, an ARIA Award for Best Rock Album (2005) and garnered an arsenal of fans to whom they’re affectionately known as ‘Grinners’.
 
To celebrate this salubrious landmark, Grinspoon have today announced details of their 30th Birthday Bonanza! Tour which will take them across the country starting in Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Saturday, 1 November before heading to Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium on Saturday, 8 November, NEX in Newcastle on Saturday, 29 November, Canberra’s UC Refectory on Friday, 12 December finishing up at Melbourne’s Forum on Friday, 19 December.
 
The band have also confirmed they will be appearing at Night at the Parkland series in Brisbane on Friday, 12 September and Night at the Barracks in Manly/Sydney on Saturday, 4 October.
 
Grinspoon’s trajectory over the past 30 years has included over half a million records sold, countless Platinum accolades and an enviable live reputation.  The 30th Birthday Bonanza! Tour will be the ultimate celebration of their career, featuring tracks from their debut album, Guide to Better Living (1997) as well as Easy (1999), New Detention (2002), Thrills, Kills & Sunday Pills (2004), Alibis & Other Lies (2007), Six to Midnight (2009), Black Rabbits (2012) and Whatever, Whatever (2024).
 
Tickets for all shows go on sale at 10.00am (local times) on Thursday, 22 May.
 
Joining the band as special guests on all shows (excl. Adelaide) will be Bad//Dreems, with Regurgitator joining the party in Adelaide and Perth. Opening the shows in Newcastle, Canberra and Sydney are Purple DisturbanceLoose Content in Brisbane and Melbourne; Lonesome Dove in Perth; and Molly Rocket in Adelaide.
