Goatzilla – Queensland Rock Beasts Unleash New Single, Secret Agent Man. New Album Coming August 16!

Goatzilla emerged from the Gold Coast underground scene in 2015, giving Punk, Thrash and Heavy Metal a cheeky twist on the nipples and making crowds scream for more.

After recently signing with XMusic, they dropped the high octane, Alien Nation on the world and caused a major stir. Check out the lyric video for that here

No sooner has everyone recovered from that,, along comes Secret Agent Man to rattle your bones! This is the second single from the bands forthcoming album, Alien Nation which will be released on August 16.

It’s another track that will get you hooked and ready for action!

Frontman Ben Zilla comments “Secret Agent Man” grew from the band’s love of cheesy spy and action movies – James Bond, Mission Impossible, Austin Powers, The Man From Uncle – anything with fast cars, guns, and a plot to destroy the planet from an underground bunker built in a dormant volcano. A funky main riff drives the track, accompanied by gunshots, explosions, and, as always, a trademark killer Goatzilla guitar solo!“

Goatzilla is fronted by Bassist Ben Zilla. With their Motorhead-infused riffs and vocals, the band deliver songs that range from straight down the line rock to quirky punk headbangers, and occasionally delving into darker or downright bizarre territory. Guitarists Pete Beardsley (P1) and Pete Janssen (P2) take turns delivering face-melting solos over some serious bone-crunching riffage, while Brazilian drumming guru Thiago Castro delivers a mesmerising blend of rock, metal and latin infused rhythms guaranteed to get hair flying and horns raised!

New Zealand’s finest rock exports, Ekko Park, have released, Phase Her, the final song from their new EP, Let’s Talk About Last Night… The End Of The World out today!

The rousing Phase Her is the final piece to the bands new EP. The swirling opening guitar sounds & lamenting vocals draw you in before Jessie Booth unleashes her guitar through a soaring soundscape unlike anywhere Ekko Park has ventured before.

Phase Her completes the four song EP which features first single, Outrun The Rain, a track that spent 15 weeks in the NZ Top 20 and the infectious pop punk of Today’s My Day which performed just as well. Both songs are juxtaposed against the hauntingly autobiographical story from frontman Joe Walsh, The North.

It’s been quite a ride since Ekko Park released their last full length album, Horizon, in August of 2020. The album featured the ridiculously catchy, up tempo Uh Oh and smash single
All Eyes On Me which featured guest vocalist Grant Nicholas of Welsh indie rock giants Feeder and received radio play the world over!

Off the strength of the record, Ekko were nominated for Best Rock Artist at the 2021 Aotearoa Music Awards! The band recently welcomed new guitarist, Jessie Booth, who is renowned for being part of female rock band She Loves You and is a touring guitarist for Elemeno P. In 2022 the band released The UnMute EP, featuring unique themed artwork from New Zealand tattoo artist, James Dean.

After releasing 2022’s UnMute EP, Ekko Park roared into 2023 with the release of

Fresh from a huge national tour with Live and Incubus, The Superjesus return with their first new music for 2024, “We Won’t Let Go Until It’s Over”. An anthemic rock track delivered in the kick ass style that has won The Superjesus a legion of fans over the last 3 decades, penned by Sarah McLeod and Stuart Rudd; produced, mixed and mastered by Murray Sheridan.

“This song is one of my favourites from the record, I wrote it ages ago and submitted it to the band when we were doing the Love And Violence EP back in 2016, for whatever reason it didn’t make the cut. Never one to give up, I tried again in 2023. With our new line up and producer/drummer Murray Sheridan on the dials it finally came to life. I think the lyric line is quite fitting for this!”
