James Marriott announces Australia & New Zealand Tour this December!

James Marriott, the sensational English singer, has taken the music industry by storm with his mesmerizing vocals and undeniable charisma
Square One Magazine

Frontier Touring and MG Live are delighted to announce British indie-rock musician James Marriott will make his anticipated antipodean return this December.

Landing in Auckland on Monday 2 December, the multidisciplinary creative will visit Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne before a final show at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Wednesday 11 December.

Frontier Members will be able to access presale tickets on Monday 22 July from 10am (local time), before tickets go onsale on Wednesday 24 July at 10am (local time).

Visit frontiertouring.com/jamesmarriott for more information.

From uploading acoustic covers to YouTube in 2012, James became a popular YouTube personality, amassing millions of followers who tune in daily for his music, comedy and relatable personality. Since launching his independent music career in 2020 with debut single ‘slow down’, James Marriott has experienced an incredible trajectory.

After racking up more than 20 million streams, the Brighton-based alternative musician took the time to perfectly craft his debut EP and released his first major body of work Bitter Tongues in 2022, which solidified James Marriott as a multi-faceted artist & creative. Drawing from artist inspirations like Phoebe Bridgers, The Strokes and The 1975, Bitter Tongues is a genre-inclusive theatrical music piece in which James tackles his own heartbreak, sexuality, love, and his creative identity on social media.

James Marriott returns down under a year after making his celebrated Australian debut in 2023 and selling out headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, having well and truly emerged onto the alt-rock scene as one to watch. Touring the EP consistently across the UK on his own headline tour plus supporting Jake Bugg at London’s Royal Albert Hall and performing at The Great Escape and Neighbourhood Weekender, James has cemented his direction as an artist and creator. His first full length album Are We There Yetwas released in 2023 to acclaim from fans and critics alike.

Recently performing at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival and with upcoming performances at Reading and Leeds Festivals next month, there are no signs of slowing down. Don’t miss out as the multi-talented James Marriott heads to Australia and New Zealand to perform a series of unforgettable headline shows this December.

Japan’s toe Announce Australia + New Zealand Tour for October 2024

Bird’s Robe is thrilled to announce the debut Australia and New Zealand tour of acclaimed Japanese post-rock/math band, toe, this coming October.

toe, known globally for their extraordinary musicianship, have been a major influence in the experimental rock scene for the past two decades. Their tracks and live performances have left a remarkable imprint on the sound of countless bands around the world.

The timing of their debut Australia and New Zealand coincides with the announcement toe is releasing their 4th full album, NOW I SEE THE LIGHT in July 2024, six years since their last EP, Our Latest Number.

Performing alongside toe on this momentous-math-instrumental occasion will be the incredible Dumbsaint, making their highly anticipated return to the stage.

Adding to the hype of toe’s first-ever Australia and New Zealand shows, this tour marks an emotional reunion for Dumbsaint. Referencing toe’s “The Book…” as the source of inspiration that led the band towards an instrumental approach, drummer Nick Andrews revealed that the upcoming tour symbolises a full circle moment for the band:

“In 2008, our first and only singer had quit the band. Unsure of how to best move forward, I suggested we embrace the idea of going instrumental with the songs we had already written.

Collectively unsure that this idea would work, it wasn’t until I walked into Egg Records and heard Toe’s ‘The Book…’ playing over the PA, that everything fell into place. Instantly captivated by their storytelling and musicianship, Toe’s discography became a gateway, providing us with a blueprint to aspire to.

And here we are 16 years later. This tour represents a full circle moment for us, and the right time to close ‘The Book…’ on this chapter of the band. Hopefully see you there.”

– Nick

Don’t miss out on this historical tour, which is set to be one of the biggest highlights in the experimental rock calendar for 2024.

With special guests Ball Park Music on all Aus dates

After much speculation and anticipation, local legends Lime Cordiale today reveal they will hit the road in October for a run of headline shows across Australia and New Zealand.

Playing their biggest rooms to date, Lime Cordiale’s Enough Of The Sweet Talk Tour will kick off at Perth’s HBF Stadium on Thursday 3 October before heading through arenas in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, wrapping up at Brisbane’s iconic Riverstage on Sunday 13 October. In a massive coup, Ball Park Music will join the Enough Of The Sweet Talk party on all Australian dates, bringing big energy and good times for all!

“We’ve been spending so much time overseas, it’s so exciting to come home for our biggest shows yet. We’re putting a lot into making the production and stage set super exciting but as always, we want to make this feel like an intimate 100 capacity party.
Ball Park Music are debatably the best band in the country. They’ve been an inspiration to us since we first met 10 years ago. We can’t believe it’s taken this long to tour together”,
said Lime Cordiale.

“We’ve wanted to go on tour with the Lime legends for years but it’s always been a pipe dream… until now! Can’t wait to share the stage and put on incredible concerts together”, said Ball Park Music.

Frontier members can access presale tickets from 1pm (local time) on Tuesday 4 June, before general public tickets go on sale at 1pm (local time) on Thursday 6 June.

More information at frontiertouring.com/limecordiale

Lime Cordiale are taking the world by storm, delivering their infectious live performance to wildly enthusiastic crowds across the globe. Their genuine, generous interactions with their fans have made them one of Australia’s most in-demand acts, selling out shows from Vancouver to Vienna and everywhere in between.

“Their energy was immediately electric…”Backseat Mafia

“Lime Cordiale are a seriously impressive unit. A wholly captivating band that sit just as nicely on stage as they do on your car sound system on a long sunny drive”No Taste

In 2023 alone, the duo branched out with the release of their own carbon neutral beer Largo, landed four spots in the triple j Hottest 100, completed a regional Australian tour, and were awarded a Rolling Stone Readers Choice Award. Over the course of their career the band have been nominated for multiple ARIA Awards and have released two albums, 14 Steps To A Better You and Permanent Vacation, along with Cordi Elba, their acclaimed collaboration with actor/musician/DJ and record label boss Idris Elba.

Brisbane’s melancholic pop masters, Ball Park Music, are one of Australia’s most beloved contemporary bands and a staple on the touring circuit, frequently playing Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Groovin’ The Moo and selling out their own headline dates.

The indie heroes create music that is “emotionally stirring and witty, filled with melodies and hooks that’ll be rattling around your head after only a few spins” (triple j), with a live show praised as “indie rock uplift” (NME). They’ll bring songs from their latest album Weirder & Weirder along with favourites from their extensive catalogue, when they hit the road around Australia later this year.

If you’re into big charisma, top notch on-stage energy and epic tunes, spend a night with Lime Cordiale and Ball Park Music this spring… you won’t regret it!

Griff (UK) announces World Vertigo Tour Australia & New Zealand August 2024

GRIFF (UK) ANNOUNCES WORLD VERTIGO TOUR AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND AUGUST 2024

Debut album vertigo out Friday 19 July

· English pop singer and songwriter Griff, announces headline Australia and New Zealand shows this August

· Returning to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and performing in Auckland for the first time

· Hits include ‘Black Hole’, ‘Good Stuff’, ‘Head on Fire’, ‘One Night’, ‘Walk’, ‘Vertigo’ and latest single ‘Miss Me Too’

· Tickets via frontiertouring.com/griff

· Debut album vertigo out Fri 19 Jul via Warner Music Australia – pre-order here

MG Live and Frontier Touring are excited to announce UK’s rising pop singer-songwriter, Griff, will head to Australia and New Zealand for a series of headline shows this August as part of her global World Vertigo Tour.

Off the back of her exclusive sold-out debut show in Sydney back in January, the demand for Griff is overwhelming! Following a whole lot of Aussie love, Griff is returning just six months later to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this August as well as Auckland, New Zealand for the first time.

Frontier Member presale kicks off Wednesday 1 May at 10am local time before the general on sale on Friday 3 May at 11am local time. Tickets via frontiertouring.com/griff

Griff has also today announced details of her debut album vertigo, which will be released on Warner Music Australia, Friday 19 July – pre-order here. Featuring anthemic new single ‘Miss Me Too’, the full tracklist was unveiled by Griff in a huge, spray-painted dress from CSM designer Eden Tan. Watch the tracklist reveal.

Before Griff’s debut album had a name – or its titular first single, even – it had a feeling: vertigo. That pit-of-your-stomach, up-is-down sense that the world is spinning faster than you can keep up with, and your own place in it has never felt less secure. It’s a journey of self-discovery that Griff has taken fans on ever since, building the three volumes of her landmark project in real-time and weaving songs that resonated with the vertigo arc into work that moves through melancholy and heartache into healing and joy. A coming-of-age album shaped for complex times, vertigo witnesses Griff scaling new creative heights without compromising the hand-stitched, home-made magic that first marked her out as British Pop’s most modern, exciting voice.

With a 360-approach on everything from production, fashion and design to the spiral motif long connecting vertigo in plain sight – right down to her signature hair style – Griff’s debut album turns the tumultuousness of young adulthood into a source of power. Latest single ‘Miss Me Too’ is a euphoric, existential banger about the little-discussed irony of losing confidence as you supposedly grow older and wiser, and was accompanied by a beautifully choreographed video physically exorcising such emotions. Throughout the record, the BRITs Rising Star winner draws on her sideways origin-story, from her unorthodox Chinese-Jamaican outsider-status growing up to launching an international music career from the confines of her bedroom. That tenacious, no-nonsense talent always wise beyond her years also sounds – crucially – like she is living: free of expectation, and moving through a world in which there is no one way to make your debut album or to be yourself.

Introducing the record today, Griff comments: “the album is about vertigo as an emotion and the dizziness and upside down feeling of heartache. I wanted to drop this project in parts from insular low feelings (Vol.1) to desperate euphoria (Vol.2) and with volume three, the full story.”

Praise for ‘Miss Me Too’

“Griff exists in the lineage of Lorde’s hyper-specific and emotional lyricism, as well as Taylor Swift’s knack for a killer hook” – Rolling Stone

“Magnificently bombastic…the British pop star’s best yet” – The Guardian

“A magnified, full-bodied sound that has progressed in step with Griff’s own growth…sends Griff’s voice to the stars” – NME

“Recalls Robyn in its devastating one-two of euphoria and melancholy” – Sunday Times

Check out full track-list for vertigo below, catch Griff live on tour later this August, and stay tuned for more to follow soon.
