Named “R&B’s next big thing” by V Magazine, Indianapolis-raised, Los Angeles-based Maeta first introduced her soulful, intimate style to the world in 2019 with the release of her debut EP, Do Not Disturb. The Kaytranada-produced Teen Scene featuring Buddy appeared a few months later, and soon garnered millions of streams. Maeta then followed up with Toxic, executive-produced by Skrillex, and signed with Roc Nation, returning a month later with the retro soul-infused Bitch Don’t Be Mad from her sophomore EP Habits.

Maeta followed up with the When I Hear Your Name EP in June 2023, her powerful vocals pairing alongside appearances from the likes of Lucky Daye, Ty Dolla $ign and The Free Nationals, with production from Pharrell and Kaytranada. A raw and sensual exploration of intoxicating lust, over 13 songs, Maeta envelops you into a whirlwind of emotions.

Maeta’s next EP “Endless Nights” produced by Kaytranada is slated for release on June 21, 2024.

As Maeta puts it: “I have a feeling it’s gonna be an amazing year.” This is one debut tour you don’t want to miss.

MG Live and Frontier Touring are excited to announce UK’s rising pop singer-songwriter, Griff, will head to Australia and New Zealand for a series of headline shows this August as part of her global World Vertigo Tour.

Off the back of her exclusive sold-out debut show in Sydney back in January, the demand for Griff is overwhelming! Following a whole lot of Aussie love, Griff is returning just six months later to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this August as well as Auckland, New Zealand for the first time.

Frontier Member presale kicks off Wednesday 1 May at 10am local time before the general on sale on Friday 3 May at 11am local time. Tickets via frontiertouring.com/griff

Griff has also today announced details of her debut album vertigo, which will be released on Warner Music Australia, Friday 19 July – pre-order here. Featuring anthemic new single ‘Miss Me Too’, the full tracklist was unveiled by Griff in a huge, spray-painted dress from CSM designer Eden Tan. Watch the tracklist reveal.

Before Griff’s debut album had a name – or its titular first single, even – it had a feeling: vertigo. That pit-of-your-stomach, up-is-down sense that the world is spinning faster than you can keep up with, and your own place in it has never felt less secure. It’s a journey of self-discovery that Griff has taken fans on ever since, building the three volumes of her landmark project in real-time and weaving songs that resonated with the vertigo arc into work that moves through melancholy and heartache into healing and joy. A coming-of-age album shaped for complex times, vertigo witnesses Griff scaling new creative heights without compromising the hand-stitched, home-made magic that first marked her out as British Pop’s most modern, exciting voice.

With a 360-approach on everything from production, fashion and design to the spiral motif long connecting vertigo in plain sight – right down to her signature hair style – Griff’s debut album turns the tumultuousness of young adulthood into a source of power. Latest single ‘Miss Me Too’ is a euphoric, existential banger about the little-discussed irony of losing confidence as you supposedly grow older and wiser, and was accompanied by a beautifully choreographed video physically exorcising such emotions. Throughout the record, the BRITs Rising Star winner draws on her sideways origin-story, from her unorthodox Chinese-Jamaican outsider-status growing up to launching an international music career from the confines of her bedroom. That tenacious, no-nonsense talent always wise beyond her years also sounds – crucially – like she is living: free of expectation, and moving through a world in which there is no one way to make your debut album or to be yourself.

Introducing the record today, Griff comments: “the album is about vertigo as an emotion and the dizziness and upside down feeling of heartache. I wanted to drop this project in parts from insular low feelings (Vol.1) to desperate euphoria (Vol.2) and with volume three, the full story.”

Praise for ‘Miss Me Too’

“Griff exists in the lineage of Lorde’s hyper-specific and emotional lyricism, as well as Taylor Swift’s knack for a killer hook” – Rolling Stone

“Magnificently bombastic…the British pop star’s best yet” – The Guardian

“A magnified, full-bodied sound that has progressed in step with Griff’s own growth…sends Griff’s voice to the stars” – NME

“Recalls Robyn in its devastating one-two of euphoria and melancholy” – Sunday Times

Check out full track-list for vertigo below, catch Griff live on tour later this August, and stay tuned for more to follow soon.
