Born out of live studio sessions in Los Angeles, the producer recorded his new songs live with close friends and peers, as heard on the album’s emotive 10 tracks.

Back in August, FINNEAS had the honour of unveiling two new guitar models as part of his Signature Acoustasonic Collection with icons Fender. In October, he’ll celebrate his new solo release with three intimate performances in Los Angeles, London and Brooklyn, before heading to AU/NZ in the new year.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday 2 October (4pm local time). Fans can sign up for early access to tickets via the Artist Presale – head to shop.finneasofficial.com. ABOUT FINNEAS

Multi-Academy® and GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer FINNEAS has quietly emerged as an unassumingly ubiquitous presence in popular music and culture. He introduced a heartfelt and hypnotic style on 2019’s debut Blood Harmony EP highlighted by the gold-certified “Let’s Fall in Love for the Night”. 2021 saw him unveil his full-length debut, The Optimist [Interscope Records]. It arrived to widespread acclaim. He packed houses on headline tours and performed at festivals such as Coachella. His catalog grew to encompass popular collaborations with Ashe, Ringo Starr, and Lizzy McAlpine in addition to producing and/or co-writing tracks Justin Bieber, Halsey, Demi Lovato, Kid Cudi, girl in red, James Bay, Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, and Tove Lo. He achieved stratospheric success for his work with his sister Billie Eilish, including ten GRAMMY® Awards, headline sets at Coachella and Glastonbury, two Academy® and Golden Globe® Awards both in the category of “Best Original Song” for “No Time To Die” from No Time To Die and “What Was I Made For?” for Barbie. He expanded his oeuvre as a sought-after composer, with a filmography boasting original scores for HBO Max’s award-winning The Fallout and BJ Novak’s Vengeance. In 2022, on behalf of the Disney PIXAR animated hit Turning Red, he wrote the music for the film’s boyband 4*Town. In 2023, he co-wrote and produced the critically acclaimed song “What Was I Made For?” for the Greta Gerwig-directed feature-length Barbie, which earned him his second Academy® Award for Best Original Song and won two GRAMMY® Awards (Best Song Written For Visual Media and Song Of The Year) as well as a Golden Globe Award (Best Original Song). FINNEAS has also scored the Apple Original series Disclaimer, a new psychological thriller from the multi-Academy Award-winning director, writer, producer, cinematographer and editor Alfonso Cuarón. Yet still, after the many accolades and achievements in his career to date, his curiosity, excitement, and love for what he does continues to shine through in his highly anticipated sophomore solo album, For Cryin’ Out Loud! (out Oct 4 on Interscope Records). It’s the result of gathering a handful of friends, heading to the studio as a band, and making music the good old-fashioned way, and it’s as glorious as anything he’s ever done.

Ulcerate New Zealand Death Metal Legends Announce Australasian Tour 2024

ULCERATE
New Zealand Death Metal Legends Announce
Cutting The Throat of God Australasian Tour 2024

New Zealand unorthodox Death Metal legends Ulcerate have just released their mind-bending 7th album, “Cutting the Throat of God” and will be bringing it to stages across New Zealand and Australia this winter.

Their amalgamation of dark, oppressive death metal, atmosphere and mood into sonics brimming with pure rhythmic and dissonant extremity make for a difficult listening experience.

Punishing, churning textures leave even the most hardened metal fan with a sense of total unease and anxiety. Ulcerate strive for total bleakness and have captivated those looking for a release, be it physical, mental or spiritual through their superb musicology. Ambitious, expansive, challenging. Ulcerate will take your soul and hand it back either crushed or purified…

After triumphantly casting off the shackles of claustrophobic dissonance on 2020’s lauded ‘Stare Into Death and Be Still’, Ulcerate have upped the ante even further with “Cutting the Throat of God”.

An acknowledgement that the band’s most powerful and affecting material leans to the melodic side, this refined and hook-laden new record is a self-sufficient universe unto itself, a conflagration of inventively visceral Death/Black Metal where dizzying experimentation meets head-nodding abandon – obscenely twisted and addictive, heart-stopping in its depth of feeling.

Watch the video for lead single, The Dawn Is Hollow
https://youtu.be/l31Xj44vJEA

After a quarter-century of playing music together, Hoggard/Saint Merat are cemented as one of the strongest guitar-percussion combinations in Extreme Metal, and their music has evolved organically into something completely its own. The most well-produced Ulcerate record to date, “Cutting the Throat of God” is filled with peerless rhythms, the band’s smoothest transitions, most compelling phrasing, and truly staggering riffage. The exhilarating, liquescent flow is topped off by a destructively dynamic performance from vocalist/lyricist Paul Kelland.

Although not a concept album, there is an overarching lyrical theme relating to the severance of morality: the thin line that may be crossed into depravity or extremity, and once traversed, the impossibility of return – staring into an abyss that is perpetually growing and infinite, caught in a self-replicating hell with no way back.

Experience Cutting the Throat of God in its entirety here
https://youtu.be/wGoCtJJN8aU

Ulcerate will be performing in New Zealand at the end of this month and will embark on their Australian conquest in August

Preparation is key.

Friday, June 28: Galatos, Auckland
Saturday, June 29: San Fran, Wellington
Thursday, August 1: The Espy, Melbourne

ABOUT DYLAN GOSSETT:

Dylan Gossett is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter from Austin, TX. Dylan began writing and recording music during his early teen years using Garage Band on his mother’s computer. Throughout high school, college at Texas A&M, and a job at Formula 1 Racing, music remained Dylan’s true passion. Inspired to finally release music by a new generation of singer-songwriters he saw emerging online, Dylan began posting videos of his songs in April 2023 — immediately, his music struck a chord with a global audience.

Dylan released his first single “To Be Free” (entirely self-written, recorded, produced, and mixed in his bedroom) on June 30th, 2023. Shortly thereafter, he teased a snippet of what would become his next song and breakout viral hit “Coal.” The video instantly took off, gaining over 1 million views within the first week. He quickly got back into his bedroom and created the song from scratch before releasing it on July 27th, 2023. Since its release, “Coal” has garnered over 275 million global streams, received Platinum Certifications in Canada and Australia and a Gold Certification in the US, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US and the Official Singles Chart Top 100 in the UK, reached the Top 5 on the Country Radio Chart in Australia, and continues to climb the Spotify US Top 200. The New York Times called “Coal” “one of the year’s best country songs,” and Billboard declared, “‘Coal’ and ‘To Be Free’ position Gossett as a formidable, heart-on-his-sleeve singer-songwriter with immense potential.”

In October 2023, Dylan released his highly anticipated debut EP No Better Time (also self-written, recorded, produced, and mixed in his bedroom) via Big Loud Texas / Mercury Records. The EP received a slew of critical acclaim from The New York Times, Billboard, Grammy.com, Atwood Magazine, Music Row, Holler Country, Country Central, and more. He followed up No Better Time with his sophomore EP Songs in the Gravel this past March, which he wrote all four songs for and self-produced two. On this project, he also teamed up with notable producers Eddie Spear and Ian Fitchuk on two of the tracks. Rolling Stone praised the EP and Gossett, saying, “Even in country’s current era of overnight success and viral sensations, Dylan Gossett stands out.”

On the touring front, he embarked on his first-ever headline tour this past spring, which saw him perform in cities across North America, London, and Dublin and sold-out immediately upon on-sale. Soon after, he announced his summer and fall 2024 headline run in the UK, Europe, and North America, which includes sold-out shows at Dublin’s Vicar St., London’s O2 Kentish Town Forum, New York’s Irving Plaza, Los Angeles’ The Fonda Theatre, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and more. Not to mention, earlier this year, he supported Noah Kahan across Australia and Morgan Wallen at Houston’s Minute Maid Park, as well as opened for Wyatt Flores and Brent Cobb on their fall 2023 tours. He also has been performing at a slew of festivals this spring and summer, including SXSW, Hangout Music Festival, CMA Fest, Tortuga Music Festival, Two Step Inn Festival, and more.

Just One Fix – New Zealand Thrashers Release Ominous New Track, Thorns

“I’ve learned to appreciate thorns … the thorns taught me the game. – Mark Lawrence, Prince of Thorns

Kiwi thrash titans Just One Fix have unleashed, Thorns, the third single from the forthcoming EP, ‘Submit or Death

After delivering two monstrous tracks, Your Own God Now & Gods & Devils, Thorns is an offering with a darker turn.

With its tribal beats and doom laden opening riff, the idea for the song was born from the pages of Mark Lawrence’s Broken Empire trilogy.

“Thorns” deals with the reality that we are all broken, twisted and shaped by our worst experiences and become who we are because or maybe in spite of them. As a result, people tend to mask themselves to who they think the world wants them to be.”

Tracing that idea with a structure of groove laden guitar, pulsing bass and a throbbing beat that hypnotically weaves into the ear captures the imagination.

Listen to it here
https://on.soundcloud.com/HyT3p2NhYPqqHKzZ8

**********

With three previous full length albums and a litany of live shows to their credit, the evolution of Just One Fix has seen them grow from their groove/thrash roots to incorporate elements of death and doom metal and has led to the band’s tracks being featured around the world on radio, TV and compilation albums.

Crushing live shows and the ability to drive crowds to the next level has been rewarded with guest appearances on bills with Sepultura, Megadeth, Death Angel, Korn, Hellyeah, Fear Factory, Corrosion of Conformity, Black Label Society, Chimaira, Serj Tankian, Bullet For My Valentine and many more.

The new EP, ‘Submit or Death’, will be released later in 2024
