CABAL Release Brand New Song ‘Still Cursed’

Having recently returned from their 4th US tour and after a summer of collaborations across both electronic/industrial (Reworks EP) and rap (Sort Sommer) CABAL are back with their unique blend of industrial tinged deathcore to prove they are ‘Still Cursed‘. The single features vocalist Aaron Matts of TEN56. and is released to coincide with CABAL’s appearance on the Nordic Invasion tour with AVIANA amongst others this September.

Singer Andreas Bjulver comments: “We are beyond excited to share our new single ‘Still Cursed’ with you all. Anyone who’s ever dealt with clinical depression knows that it’s a constant battle that isn’t just won once, but has to be battled continuously, in many cases daily and can make you feel like you’re always going one step forward and two steps back. ‘Still Cursed’ is the for everyone who’s ever felt that pain and knows how it feels to being close to giving up. The track is also a glimpse into a new sonic direction for the band and features our very good friend Aaron Matts from the French metalcore heavyweights Ten56.”

CABAL has through the years proved themselves as one of the heaviest and most uncompromising metal acts hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark.

The bands sound is visceral and destructive and aims to bring forth absolute chaos by drawing inspiration from everything from crushing death metal, contemporary metallic hardcore and metalcore to unnerving soundscapes and dark electronic music.

Since the release of their first album in 2018 the band toured most of the planet, from Europe and North America to Japan and Australia, as well as renowned festivals like, Roskilde Festival, Copenhell, Summer Slaughter, Brutal Assault and many more, and they have no intention of slowing down.

All of the above combined with features from some of the modern metal scenes most prominent names like; Matt Heafy from TRIVIUM, Jamie Hails from POLARIS and Joe Bad from FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, the band has shown the world that Denmark has something to offer when it comes to bone crushing heaviness.

EQUILIBRIUM Release New Song ‘Gnosis’

Following the introduction of new singer Fabian Getto with 2023’s ‘Shelter’ and ‘Cerulean Skies’, EQUILIBRIUM return with their first new material of 2024. ‘Gnosis’, building on the bands unique blend of modern and folk metal, is released time for a slew of EU festival appearances over the summer.

Founding member René Berthiaume states:
“We have worked the whole last year on new songs for Equilibrium and “Gnosis” will be the first one that we are gonna share with the world. This year was a challenging but also very satisfying process since we had to go deep to find the ingredients that we truly want to use for our next chapter. I think the new songs are the most organic, earth-connected, emotional and epic tracks we have ever written. “Gnosis” delves into themes of ignorance, suffering, and transformation. The song speaks to the chaos that often accompanies profound change, while also offering a glimmer of hope for new beginnings and enlightenment. The perfect song to initiate our new chapter!”

Kiwi thrash titans Just One Fix have unleashed, Thorns, the third single from the forthcoming EP, ‘Submit or Death’

After delivering two monstrous tracks, Your Own God Now & Gods & Devils, Thorns is an offering with a darker turn.

With its tribal beats and doom laden opening riff, the idea for the song was born from the pages of Mark Lawrence’s Broken Empire trilogy.

“Thorns” deals with the reality that we are all broken, twisted and shaped by our worst experiences and become who we are because or maybe in spite of them. As a result, people tend to mask themselves to who they think the world wants them to be.”

Tracing that idea with a structure of groove laden guitar, pulsing bass and a throbbing beat that hypnotically weaves into the ear captures the imagination.
