Since their inception in 1993, APOCALYPTICA have been mining classical form and structure, ever coming up with unpredictable new musical projects. Twenty-one years into an inimitable global career exceeding well over 1000 live concerts, performed in over 50 countries, they are still reinventing themselves – creating massive attention in media as well as the charts on all continents.
Following the worldwide success of “7th Symphony”, Apocalyptica are about to release their eighth studio album named “Shadowmaker” in April 2015. Apocalyptica has taken on a new musical challenge: For the upcoming LP, the band is collaborating with Franky Perez as the exclusive singer on the vocal tracks.
“Shadowmaker” was produced by Grammy-winning rock producer Nick Raskulinecz. Together, the records he produced sold over fifteen million copies, including collaborations with the Foo Fighters, Paramore, Rush, Deftons, Danzig, and Queens of the Stone Age.
The collaboration with Perez extends for the album’s whole cycle including the tour. Working with one singer on the entire project elevates Apocalyptica’s musical vision to a new level of coherence between studio production and live performance, as well as renewing the focus on the band’s homogeneity after recent feature projects. Apocalyptica will focus on the upcoming release of “Shadowmaker” with extensive live touring, including a 26 date headliner tour across Europe from October 1 – November 6, 2015.
