Queens Of The Stone Age will return to Australia and New Zealand on their Villains World Tour, performing nine huge headline shows for Frontier Touring throughout August and September. They will be joined at all shows by Australian blues maestro C.W. Stoneking.
‘Queens Of The Stone Age, you beautiful bunch of freaks. Rock’n’roll just doesn’t get any sexier than the sounds this band lovingly wrench from their instruments and these skillful players perform with a synergy that proves they’re a band of brothers who genuinely rate each other.’ – The Music
Helmed by founding member Joshua Homme (guitar/vocals), with Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar), Dean Fertita (guitar/keys), Jon Theodore (drums/percussion) and Michael Shuman (bass), Queens of The Stone Age will kick off the AU & NZ leg of their Villains World Tour at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Thursday 23 August.
From there, the rock’n’roll legends will perform a second New Zealand date at Christchurch’s Horncastle Arena, before landing in Australia to perform shows in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Hobart, Melbourne and Adelaide closing out the tour at Perth Arena on Wednesday 12 September. These shows make good on Homme’s promise made while on our shores last year of returning before too long:
“Everybody who knows me knows that Australia is my home away from home.”
– Josh Homme
Following hundreds of epic shows, six genre-defining albums and multiple Grammy nominations, Queens Of The Stone Age blasted forth once more from the Californian desert last August with their most recent acclaimed chart-topping seventh album, Villains (released via Matador Records/Remote Control Records).
C.W. Stoneking, the embodiment of what some would say is a bygone era of music, will join Queens Of The Stone Age as special guest at all Australian and New Zealand shows. From his rasping jungle-rock-blues, to his well-oiled locks, and his familiar, though increasingly less frequent, all white clothing ensemble, he has converted fans across the world to his unique style.
Over three albums (King Hokum, ARIA award-winning Jungle Blues and his most recent release, Gon’ Boogaloo), and countless tours both here and abroad, C.W. has delivered his own brand of swampy rhythm and blues via his larger than life persona, incredible musicianship, and epochal performances.
Currently in the midst of wowing fans on a massive USA run and returning to our shores off the back of dates in Japan, Queens Of The Stone Age are not to be missed. Arguably one of the best rock bands on the planet, and armed with their latest rock masterpiece in Villains, these will be the tightest shows you’re ever likely to see. Their 2017 AU & NZ tour completely sold out immediately – don’t delay!

Currently blowing the minds of American audiences with her incredible performances on the hottest tour of 2018, P!NK has announced TWO FINAL SHOWS for the Australian leg of her Beautiful Trauma World Tour.
The superstar will be performing at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26.
Touring in support of Beautiful Trauma (released through Sony Music Australia), the now four-times Platinum Australian #1 album (also #1 in the US and UK), this takes the Australian show count to a massive 35 dates, including 11 in Melbourne, 9 in Sydney, 7 in Brisbane and 4 each in Adelaide and Perth.
Joining P!nk on her Australian tour will be local alt-rock favourites, The Rubens.
2018 has already been a huge year for The Rubens. After the release last October of the exuberant party jam ‘Million Man’, the band are set to make a huge return with their forthcoming third album, LO LA RU, out June 29. Picking up where their triple j Hottest 100 topping single ‘Hoops’ left off, the band are also celebrating the release of their brand new single, ‘Never Ever’ featuring Grammy Award nominated songwriter Sarah Aarons.
In addition the new Sydney shows, a limited number of Wild Hearts Zone tickets (standing area within the stage) will be released for all shows in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
This will be fans’ final chance to see P!nk live in 2018 – no additional shows will be added to the Australian tour.
Tickets for the two new Sydney shows and Wild Hearts Zones in all cities will go on sale at midday this Thursday, April 19.
As tickets go on sale this Thursday for the final Sydney shows, the total number of tickets sold for P!nk’s Australian shows across all five of her national tours will hit a staggering TWO MILLION!
To celebrate this remarkable milestone, Live Nation is giving one lucky fan and a friend the chance to fly to Los Angeles to see P!nk live at Staples Center on May 31.

Starting her world tour in North America last month, reviewers have been in awe with Phoenix New Times claiming “Pink was a tour de force” and had Billboard asking:
“When you’ve done ballet, modern dance, aerial tricks, gymnastics and silks work all while belting flawlessly for more than 90 minutes and providing inspiration and hope, what else is left?”

With each return Down Under, the love and admiration for our adopted Alecia Moore has grown exponentially. P!NK’s debut Try This Tour in 2004 laid the foundation of her Australian domination with a respectable six arena shows.
2007’s I’m Not Dead Tour played to more than 308,000 fans over 35 nights. Two years later, the phenomenal 58-arena-shows Funhouse House Tour broke venue records everywhere it went, selling in excess of 658,000 tickets and still stands as the biggest selling tour by a solo female artist in Australia. 2013’s The Truth About Love Tour, played out in front of more than 600,000 rapturous fans.
