“Devilskin have conquered their home territory New Zealand. Now it’s the rest of the world’s turn to surrender” – METAL HAMMER
One of New Zealand’s most dominant live acts, Devilskin, have spent the last few months playing across 14 European countries on a sold-out tour with Halestorm, as well as headlining their own 10 date UK tour. It’s been a crazy two years since Devilskin played with Disturbed at Spark Arena in November to a full-house of 11,000 people on the release of their second album, which like their first, entered the NZ album chart at #1.
“Watch out for them conquering a continent near you soon!” – KERRANG!
Devilskin return to Australia for these prestigious arena support shows having converted a legion of new fans and hard-rocking friends all over Europe and the British Isles and their previous Australian tour in January 2017 where they performed with Halestorm on a 3-date sold out Australian tour.
Bassist and founding member of Devilskin Paul Martin says, “We are absolutely delighted that Slash has invited us to be special guests on the Australasian tour. We had so much fun on tour through Europe and we are really excited to be bringing our high powered show to our ardent Aussie and Kiwi friends. It’s going to be a great few weeks and we are all totally looking forward to catching up with Slash and crew again.”
Known for their blistering and intense live shows, watch Devilskin perform their stunning, explosive sets with Slash Feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators in January/February 2019.

STM’s Casper spoke to Todd Kerns, Bassist for Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators about his “new” favorite release LIVING THE DREAM available now everywhere via Slash’s own label, Snakepit Records, in partnership with Sony Music Australia.
Last month, Slash and his band, Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators released their new video for Driving Rain—which features a live-action, animated adventure with ragdoll puppets — and is the first the first single off their new album Living The Dream.
Slash describes creating the fun clip here: “The idea behind doing an animated video for ‘Driving Rain’ is mostly due to the dark subject matter of the song influencing directors to come up with very dramatic, dark and sullen regular live action treatments that weren’t any fun at all (no offense to those guys). So, I wanted to create something that could be tongue-in-cheek and yet still be dark with live-action animation. We’re all big fans of Stoopid Buddy and they came up with a great concept and treatment. We love the video and it came out fn’ brilliant. Fyi, no puppets were harmed during the making of this video.”
“Our whole team at Stoopid Buddy Stoodios was beyond excited to work with Slash, Myles, and those hard-rocking Conspirators,” explains John Harvatine IV, Creative Director and Co-Founder. “We had a blast creating a dramatic heart-pounding music video with rag-doll-like rod puppets and adrenaline-filled RC Jeeps. From this moment forward, ‘Driving Rain’ is now the Citizen Kane of music videos!”
Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators just launched their North American headlining tour and will visit 20 major cities before ending on the 16th October 2018 back in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium. The band then tour Europe in February and March 2019.
In the USA, the first single Driving Rain, is Top 10 at Rock Radio this week, #9 and climbing. “Driving Rain” is now the band’s 6th consecutive Top 10 single at radio and SLASH’s fastest-rising single ever in his solo career yet. The band performed Driving Rain-which Rolling Stone described as delivering “bluesy riffs and solos throughout the blistering track” (7/25/18) and Revolver hailed as “smoldering” (7/25/18)–on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” HERE and “Mind Your Manners” HERE.
Living The Dream is the new full-length offering from the group which, in addition to Slash and singer Myles Kennedy, also includes bassist Todd Kerns, drummer Brent Fitz and rhythm guitarist Frank Sidoris. Slash and his band re-teamed with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Alter Bridge, Iggy Pop, Incubus) for their third album resulting in the band’s strongest collective statement to date following World on Fire and 2012’s Apocalyptic Love. From the barnstorming, high-octane riffery of opener Call of the Wild to the wah-drenched funk rock of Read Between the Lines, the haunting majesty of Lost Inside the Girl to the swaggering deep-in-the-pocket Seventies grooves of Serve You Right, to the stately, quasi-classical melodic themes of The Great Pretender, LivingThe Dream packs a compendium of sounds and styles into 12 tightly arranged and sharply executed tracks, all of it shot through with Slash’s trademark electrifying and dynamic riffing and high-wire, lyrical solos.
