Interview with Jon Lawhon (Black Stone Cherry)

Known party starters of the hard rock variety, Black Stone Cherry have announced their returning to our shores in April.

Bassist Jon Lawhon sat down to have an entertaining chat about the tour and the rise of Black Stone Cherry.

Known party starters of the hard rock variety, Black Stone Cherry have announced their return to our shores, locking in a run of headline dates picking up where they left off last time when they were down their supporting Steel Panther.

Not only will it be their name up in lights this time around, but the band will also be toting their new wears Kentucky, a tip of the head to the band’s home state, which dropped earlier in the year. The album is a worthy entry to the annuls of the genre, impressing crowds both state-side and throughout Europe via airplay and big, ballsy live shows.

They will return as a totally new beast from the Black Stone Cherry we saw previously. The band ticked the box of ‘biggest show yet’ earlier in 2016, hitting Wembley Arena. The same show that took a whole arena by storm will now be laid out before our eyes at the below theatre-sized venues. Not bad at all.
