Punk rock fans rejoice! NOFX have confirmed two headline shows ahead of their appearance at the inaugural Download Festival! Joining forces with Hot Water Music, Bad Cop/Bad Cop and Australian supergroup, Dad Religion (members of Frenzal Rhomb, Bodyjar & Clowns), this is one show you don’t want to miss!
What’s left to say about NOFX? The reigning kings of punk rock have been wreaking havoc in the scene since they exploded onto it over 30 years ago. Gold records, sell out shows, their own realty TV show…they’ve even penned a New York Times Bestselling memoir, NOFX: The Hepatitis Bathtub And Other Stories.
“Nobody does it like NOFX” – Vulture Hound
“NOFX are best when confronting demons” – New Noise
Continuing to push the boundaries of their music, lyrics and good taste in a way that’s as endearing as it is infectious. For that reason it’s remarkably apt that the band’s latest LP First-Ditch Effort is also their thirteenth because ominous black clouds hang over this collection of songs that see frontman/bassist Fat Mike exploring self-loathing and mortality in a more raw and honest way than he ever has before.
Hot Water Music are back and they want you to know it! Their newest album, Light It Up is the effort of a band looking to stay in line with what they know, but also one that has aged gracefully, simmering instead of raging and stepping back into more mid-paced territory. The fact that Hot Water Music was never your typical punk band, but rather a beefy rock band with a spittle-flecked anger that reflected their roots in Gainesville Florida’s vibrant punk scene. They are a rock band that punk kids like.
It’s been a hectic couple of years since Los Angeles punk quartet Bad Cop/Bad Cop dropped their debut full-length, Not Sorry. The band spent a huge chunk of the intervening time on the road, like most bands do—and they wound up discovering some ugly things about themselves, like most bands do. Out of that experience came “Amputations,” one of the highlights on Bad Cop/Bad Cop’s explosive second album, Warriors. Taking a more serious tone lyrically, they also solidify their sound giving us a great pop punk record.
Finally, adding an Australian contingent to this already epic bill is punk rock cover band Dad Religion consisting of members of Frenzal Rhomb, Bodyjar and Clowns (Not all band members are dads).

Southern California crossover thrash/hardcore punk/skate punk legends SUICIDAL TENDENCIES announce much anticipated DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL sideshows.
Judging from their name, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES were never afraid of a little controversy. Formed in Venice, California, during the early ’80s, the group’s leader from the beginning was outspoken vocalist Mike Muir. The outfit specialized in vicious hardcore early on — building a huge following among skateboarders, lending a major hand in the creation of skatepunk — before turning their focus eventually to thrash metal. SUICIDAL TENDENCIES have continuously led the charge in the skate punk/ thrash metal movement for almost 3 decades, influencing generations of bands along including the like’s GREEN DAY, METALLICA, LIMP BIZKIT and SLIPKNOT to name a few
‘’The rapturous applause that greets vocalist Mike Muir as he enters the stage is almost deafening as they launch into You Can’t Bring Me Dow. Muir barely has to sing a word as everyone joins him through War Inside My Head and Subliminal’’ – Punktastic
SUICIDAL TENDENCIES are still one of the best live bands on the planet. If you’ve been to an ST live show before you know what to expect. If you have never seen the band live then get excited for something special. Don’t be Institutionalized make sure this is one show you don’t miss.
‘’Mike Muir was all over the stage, hyper-actively dancing, shadowboxing, and defying father time in every way imaginable. His band, likewise, all over the stage. Constantly circling each other, pumping fists, kicking the air, these guys must have been exhausted after the set.’’ – The Void Report
