Make Them Suffer Share New Single & Video ‘Ghost Of Me’

The new sonic chapter for Make Them Suffer continues in 2023, with the Perth metalcore outfit today unveiling a ravenous new single Ghost Of Me, out now via Greyscale Records in Australia and SharpTone Records for the rest of the world.

A high-octane outing injected with ferocious energy and a sharp balance between heavy guitars and soaring choruses, Ghost Of Me echoes and advances the vibrant new Make Them Suffer sonic territory previously witnessed on the band’s explosive 2022 single Doomswitch.

“We are thrilled to announce the release of our latest single, Ghost Of Me,” shares vocalist Sean Harmanis of the brand new MTS release. “The new song marks a significant step in the evolutionary process of MTS’ sound, showcasing our dedication to exploring new sonic territories. Designed to complement high-energy live performances, this single promises to be a visually explosive and unforgettable experience for our followers.”

“Ghost Of Me is about feeling a sense of betrayal and abandonment,” Harmanis continues, “and the negative and flawed emotions that come with that experience; bitterness, resentment and anger.”

Following a long break away from music due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Make Them Suffer returned with a blazing bang in 2022, officially welcoming new member Alex Reade to the fold as backup vocalist and keyboardist, releasing the behemoth single Doomswitch, playing a sold out tour in North America supporting Bad Omens, and performing a completely sold out headline Australian run in support of their new material.

Releasing their first single via the dream team of Greyscale Records and SharpTone Records in 2023, Make Them Suffer will return to the States this September and October as part of Parkway Drive‘s huge Monsters Of Oz Tour, celebrating Parkway Drive‘s 20th anniversary as a banh an all-Aussie bill alongside The Amity Affliction and Northlane. But before they embark on yet another overseas adventure, Make Them Suffer are also imminently set to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their debut album, performing 2012’s Neverbloom in full for the first time ever this May and June. Melbourne, Perth and Newcastle shows are already sold out with Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide selling fast.

And amongst their anniversary tour dates, Make Them Suffer will also appear at both the Wollongong and Frankston editions of UNIFY Off The Record before heading to Darwin for the first time ever on Saturday 10 June for TerrorLoud 2 alongside Starve, Sedative, Harroway, We Burn Bridges and more.

BABYMETAL Announce First Australian Headline Tour As Part Of World Tour 2023

Japanese metal sensation BABYMETAL are thrilled to announce they will be returning to Australia for their very first headline tour in June as part of their World Tour 2023.

Kicking off in Brisbane on Thursday, June 8 at the Fortitude Music Hall, the tour will make its way down the east coast to Sydney on Friday, June 9 at the Hordern Pavilion and then Melbourne on Sunday, June 11 at Margaret Court Arena.

BABYMETAL have become a global phenomenon since their formation and have an incredible list of accolades under their belt. They became the first Japanese artist to headline the prestigious Wembley Arena in the UK in 2016, performed at Good Things Festival as their Australian debut appearance in 2018 where Wall Of Sound said BABYMETAL may have stolen the show and been the highlight of the festival” and BABYMETAL was something out of this world” by Heavy Magazine, performed at global music festivals including Glastonbury Festival and headlined tours across the world.

With hundreds of millions of audio streams, almost a billion YouTube views, and three studio albums under their belts, BABYMETAL are an anomaly. Their concept album THE OTHER ONE will be released on March 24.

“BABYMETAL is the future of metal”, declared by Rob Halford from Judas Priest and “BABYMETAL isn’t metal. It’s theater, the Japanese pop industry deconstructing post-millennial metal and modern pop tropes and reconstituting them into a fully realized, 360-degree entertainment experience” by Metal Sucks.

Known for their high energy and electric live shows and phenomenal production, this is a tour you don’t want to miss out on!

Make Them Suffer Celebrate 10 Years Of ‘Neverbloom’ With Anniversary Tour

With just over ten years since the release of their staggering debut album Neverbloom, Aussie metal leviathans MAKE THEM SUFFER have continued to flourish in the decade that has since passed.

To celebrate, Neverbloom will now be available for the first time on vinyl and the album remaster available now on all streaming platforms.

Purchase/stream Neverbloom here

MAKE THEM SUFFER will also pay homage to the album that started it all with the Neverbloom 10 Year Anniversary Tour this May and June, with special guests FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY all the way from New Jersey, as well as metalcore locals OCEAN SLEEPER.

“Neverbloom holds a profound significance in our hearts as it embodies the very essence and cornerstone of our musical identity. Despite our departure from it’s sound over the years, the album remains indispensable in our catalogue, as it continues to this day to inspire our artistic pursuits. We couldn’t be more excited to perform some of these songs for the first and last time live and we can’t wait to see you all there!” – Sean Harmanis, Make Them Suffer

Following an enormous 2022, including the addition of new fifth member Alex Reade on vocals and keyboards, the release of a brand new single Doomswitch, extensive American support slots with rockers Bad Omens and a completely sold-out national headline run in October, the brand new chapter for MAKE THEM SUFFER continues to go from strength to strength without sacrificing the quintet’s trademark balanced beauty and chaos.

Roaring back to life following an extensive break away from music during the COVID-19 pandemic, absence has well and truly made the heart grow fonder and stronger for MAKE THEM SUFFER. Releasing their first EP Lord of Woe back in 2010, the band have since unleashed four studio albums into the world, including their most recent full length endeavor: the acclaimed 2020 outing How to Survive a Funeral. Having toured at home and around the globe alongside the likes of Wage War, After The Burial, Ice Nine Kills and Born Of Osiris amongst many others over the years, the group’s latest single Doomswitch has gone on to generate over 4.5 million streams on Spotify alone, with the accompanying music video also snagging 1.5 million views in a short space of time.

Set to join Spiritbox and Reliqa for a special Knotfest Australia sideshow later this month, with their first ever performance in Darwin also lined up on Saturday 10 June, MAKE THEM SUFFER‘s upcoming Aussie headline shows are undeniably set to be something special, both for fans and the band themselves paying equal homage to their sonic cornerstone and their tantalising musical future as they revisit 2012’s Neverbloom.

Hailing from New Jersey, American heavies FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY are masters of demolishing genre lines and embracing sonic evolution. From the release of their debut album The Process of Human Extermination to their 2022 masterpiece Oh What the Future HoldsFIT FOR AN AUTOPSY forge hard-hitting narratives into their unique take on the deathcore realms and beyond, constantly praised for their diversity, expert craftsmanship and thunderous, occasionally haunting, arrangements.

Having previously toured with the likes of Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Sepultura and Thy Art Is Murder, as well as festival appearances spanning Blue Ridge Rock Festival, Aftershock and Hammerfest to name a mere few, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY continue to command global attention via their earth-shattering execution and consistent ability to elevate their genre after over a decade of existence – and the band are definitely not showing any signs of slowing down. Icons in their field and capable of rattling bones in the best possible way, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY continue to be one of the most exciting modern heavy bands with each new release and performance.

Swiftly evolving from playing hometown shows in regional Victoria to commanding sold out national shows and chart-smashing releases, metalcore up-and-comers OCEAN SLEEPER have been making insatiable waves since forming back in 2016. Releasing their debut EP Six Feet Down in 2017 to coincide with their addition to Unify Gathering’s lineup alongside Alexisonfire, Every Time I Die and Northlane, OCEAN SLEEPER soon garnered rave reviews for their raw and melodic debut album Don’t Leave Me This Way in 2019. From touring with the likes of Killswitch Engage and Atreyu to a headline run in 2022, you should definitely never sleep on a chance to catch OCEAN SLEEPER live in action.

Set to bring some of the most astonishing live performances of 2023 to a town near you, don’t miss securing your tickets to celebrate 10 years of Neverbloom in unforgettable fashion.

“I am so happy to be finally able to come back to play my beloved Australia. It's been a tough time in our world lately, and I find that music is needed more than ever. Since I've been back touring again, I sense a new feeling of JOY that people have for the live experience, just like the old days when people hear you play for the first time. It's an awakening, a reminder of the beauty of music – seeing, feeling, and experiencing an event filled with truth, love, sacrifice, dedication and letting go. Relax, let it all go, come and have fun!”  – Tommy Emmanuel, CGP

Tommy Emmanuel brings the power and dynamism of a full band to his solo acoustic playing, with incredible charisma, stunning speed and dexterity and unerring command of melody.

Tommy’s message is pure love for the guitar and the music and his delight in sharing it with the world, one audience at a time. Tommy’s greatest honour was being named by his childhood idol Chet Atkins as a ‘Certified Guitar Player’ (CGP). The legendary US guitarist and producer Atkins gave this designation to only five players in history. In 2010 Tommy Emmanuel added AM to his name after CGP, when he was appointed a Member of Order of Australia for services to music.

Alongside his rare CGP honour Tommy has received a huge variety of accolades, including two Grammy Award nominations, three ARIAs, three Golden Guitar awards and being twice voted Best Acoustic Guitarist by US Guitar Player Magazine.  Tommy recently added yet another accolade to his vast collection, having been named number one acoustic guitarist in the world on Music Radar, as voted by his fellow musicians.
