Today Secret Sounds and Brisbane Festival announce a killer line-up of special guests for their marquee music event; a curated outdoor concert at the beautiful Riverstage on Saturday, September 23. The massive all ages show headlined by London Grammar just got a whole lot bigger, with support from international act James Vincent McMorrow as well as local Australian acts, The Kite String Tangle, Mansionair and Wafia.

Dublin-born singer/songwriter, James Vincent McMorrow stunned audiences last year when he performed at the 2016 Splendour In The Grass festival. He returned to the country earlier this year to perform five sold-out headline shows across the country where he showcased material from his heralded album, We Move. The likes of The Music declared of his Sydney Opera House performance “McMorrow’s voice is literally breath-taking… The Irish artist’s performance of ‘Surreal’, under one spotlight, literally shuts the entire room up and receives a standing ovation… Not only are we happy, we are left wondering if there will be a more moving live show in 2017 than this?”

Now armed with material from his most recent release True Care, the folk star, turned r’n’b maestro will bring his majestic voice as well as hit songs like ‘Higher Love,’ ‘We Don’t Eat,’ ‘Get Low,’ and ‘Rising Water’ back to Brisbane this September.

Fresh from releasing his stunning debut self-titled album (which hit #1 on iTunes’ Electronic chart) and playing an awe-inspiring set at this year’s Splendour In The Grass, The Kite String Tangle has returned in stellar fashion. It didn’t take long for the ARIA nominatedartist’s 2013 breakthrough single ‘Given The Chance’ to reach Gold sales in Australia. Hit singles ‘Arcadia’, ‘Stone Cold’ and ‘What If’ soon followed, along with sold-out national headline shows, celebrated festival appearances including SxSW, Coachella, Falls Festival and Groovin the Moo. With new singles ‘Selfish’ and ’The Prize’ (featuring Rudimental’s Bridgette Amofah) showing the progression of arguably one of Australia’s most talented names in emotive electronic music, don’t miss The Kite String Tangle’s lauded live show – called “visually stunning” and filled with “absolute attention to detail”.

Mansionair have had a whirlwind three years since releasing “Hold Me Down” in early 2014, received by millions of Spotify streams and widespread praise for the mesmerizing and genre-defying track from tastemakers including NME, The Guardian, Stereogum, BBC Radio 1 and Pigeons and Planes. The song caught the attention of CHVRCHES who then released the Hold Me Down EP on their own Goodbye Records imprint, which led Mansionair to open for their Every Open Eye Tour in the UK. Mansionair has since sold out headline shows, played the coveted Laneway Festival and Splendour in the Grass, and shared stages with the likes of Florence and the Machine, Alt-J, and The Temper Trap. They’ve now signed with Glassnote Records and Liberation, who have released their Pick Me Up EP and newest single, “Easier”.

Wafia’s lush vocal style and songwriting draws on her Arab heritage as well as the increasingly unique sound of the Australian electronic scene. Wafiahas already packed out the Tiny Dancer stage at Splendour In The Grass and performed at the Sydney Opera House – just a few short years after the Brisbane-based singer-songwriter ditched her pre-med studies to pursue another kind of healing. Her breakout hit “Heartburn”, alongside team-ups with Vancouver Sleep Clinic and acclaimed producers Ta-ku and Japanese Wallpaper, have helped carve a niche for herself as one of the most distinctive voices in the crowded field of rising local R&B stars.

The extended tour which saw not one but two shows at the Sydney Opera House sell out in a matter of minutes, will see Hannah Reid, Dan Rothman and Dot Major perform seven massive shows across four states in some of the country’s most esteemed venues and arenas.

The tour marks the release of their stunning, critically acclaimed second album Truth Is A Beautiful Thing, which is out now via Dew Process / UMA and claimed the esteemed honour of triple j Feature Album.
