Japanese Pop-Rock sensation One Ok Rock’s album Ambitions came out very early in the year just after the new year leaving the fans something to really kick of 2017 with, not too long after they also dropped a headline tour announcement that will see the band touring early October. It was no shock that the fans couldn’t hold in their excitement with tickets selling out within hours of going on sale. This will see the band playing sold-out shows across the east coast in Australia.
This Album was packed with catchy melodies that just leave you wanting more it’s a good thing we have this album to tie us down until October.
The track opens up with Ambition which is an into in to their album
Bombs Away: Catchy lyrics that will draw you from the start One Ok Rock show that you don’t need crazy riffs and insane drum work to get the crowd going wild and wanting more.
Taking Off: For someone who had never heard of these guys until this year they drew me in. Perhaps it’s my secret love of pop music but there was just something about One ok Rock that left me wanting to hear more.
We Are: This track was one of the stand-out tracks for me, as the vocals were just full of passion that left you feeling every emotion that the band was trying to make you feel. Which in turn left you needing and wanting to know what happens next.
20-20: The bass work in this track was really one of the major stand outs for me personally on this track. That pulled you in being a slightly heavier track then the last few making this one hard not to enjoy
Always Coming Back: This track has a beautiful melody to it and the vocals pierce into you and matching the tone set by the rest of the band and is sure to be one of those tracks that are played at many shows around the world
Bedroom Warfare: The crossover between both English and Japanese vocals in this track really compliment each other, with the line “keep your enemies’ close” leaving the lasting impression of something to always remember
Lost In Tonight: This track gives the feeling it needs to find its way on a video game, catchy beats and that melody from the vocals we have grown to love throughout this album, it’s no wonder these guys have such a wide fan base across the world.
I Was King: The into to this track draws you in straight away, not knowing what’s going to happen next and I feel this would be suited to the last season of Game Of Thrones, giving you a sense of real suspense and is one I would definitely be wanting to see play live.
Listen: A beautiful track with both vocals matching and complementing each other just the right way that will leave the listeners with chills and hoping there is just more and more.
One Way Ticket: The emotion of this track is hard to ignore the tone set for vocals just pull you in as we near the end to this album One OK Rock will definitely leave an imprint on their listeners which will see them getting more and more popular.
Bon Voyage: Easy sing-along lyrics and catchy beats, what’s not to love? With some rather cool pop riffs coming into the mix and the intense beat from the drums, the boys sure have a lot hidden up their sleeves.
Start Again: The second last track on this album and it is still going strong, perhaps even stronger! It seems they have left the best till last. Each track has just got better and better, always leaving a lasting impression on you. The fans were given gold when this album came out.
Take What You Want (feat 5 Seconds Of Summer): Finishing off with vocals from 5 Seconds Of Summer making this track filled with the power house of the vocals from all singers and those pop riffs from other tracks it was differently a track to end on.
