[NEWS] Dubioza Kolektiv head Down Under This Month

Mashing up ska, reggae, punk, hip hop and electronica with a healthy dash of Balkan spice Dubioza Kolektiv – who have amassed near on a half a million fans on Facebook – are headed to Australia for the very first time later this month –  with headline shows in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane as well as a performance at Woodford Folk Festival.

The band’s exuberant live shows, along with their whip-smart, politically driven songs have garnered a huge following right throughout Europe and critical acclaim from the likes of PopMatters, Kerrang!, Consequences of Sound and more.

“Yeah, the Dubioza Kolektiv really are that good.  Damn…Just…Damn…” –Mass Movement Magazine

“There’s fiery polemic in the lyrics, but it’s all wrapped up in a frantic joie de vivre that’s as infectious as it is unique” –  Kerrang!

“Kick-ass from start to finish, Dubioza Kolektiv marries power and positivity” – PopMatters

“The Best thing at Paleo is coming across a band you’d never heard of before, and getting totally blown away.  This is what happened to me yesterday with Dubioza Kolektiv” – livinginyon.com

The 7-piece outfit will be performing tracks from their new album Happy Machine as well as from previous releases including Wild, Wild East, Dubnamite, Firma Ilegal and Apsurdistan.
