Godsmack, Papa Roach, Nonpoint Sidewaves Announced
Alt metal acts Godsmack and Papa Roach have announced two extra sideshows while they’re in town for Soundwave 2015, and will be playing Sidewaves for Melbourne and Brisbane audiences this February alongside special guests Nonpoint.
Godsmack, Papa Roach and Nonpoint will first play The Forum in Melbourne on Tuesday 24th February followed by a show at The Tivoli in Brisbane on Thursday, 26th February.
Not only do Godsmack have 20 million album sales, three consecutive number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and two decades worth of material to their name, they also have an entire day named after them. To mark the release of their latest record 1000hp, 6th August was last year declared “Godsmack Day” in the city of Boston. They’ll be making their Australian debut on the Soundwave tour.
On the other end, Papa Roach will pack their energetic live show with songs from their new record F.E.A.R.. Speaking to Music Feeds recently, Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix said Papa Roach fans are pretty happy with the album so far.
“The fans there are loving it. We’ve got a lot of really good response from it which is nice because it’s always good when your fan base is feeling the new material.” He also added, “there’s always going to be the fans that are going to be, ‘Well why didn’t you do this, or why didn’t you do that?’ Well, guess what, it’s because I’m doing this, so deal with it.”
Tickets go on sale Thursday 29th January at 9am local time. Tour dates and ticketing information below.
